Recently, the Caidian District Zhiyin Culture Research Association specially invited Hu Laiwang, a national first-class artist and one of the top ten Han framing masters, to Caidian District to collect the front and back inscriptions of the 1986 Hanyang County Government in front of the tomb of Zhongzi Period, so as to better protect and inherit the Zhiyin culture.

The tomb of Zhongzi period is located on the Phoenix Tsui at the southern foot of Ma'an Mountain in Caidian District, facing the South Lake, forming a back-mountain facing the lake. The inscription collected on that day was written by Zhang Shunhui, a professor at Central China Normal University and a famous historian, and written by the famous calligrapher Wang Xiaoju. Another stone stele (now ruined) erected in the tenth decade of Guangxu (1884) in front of the tomb is now in the collection of the District Museum.

The reporter saw at the scene that the staff removed the weeds and shrubs around the tomb and carried out expansion operations on each stone monument. The staff first used a tool brush to brush the dust on the stone monument carefully, and then used the clean water sprayed by the sprayer to clean the stone monument, after cleaning, then brushed with white and water soaked overnight, and then put on the Danzhai topping paper. After the paper completely covers the text and patterns on the stele, use a brush to evenly drive it into the depression to prevent the paper from drying out empty or taut, and then use a flutter stained with ink or cinnabar to lightly color the rubbing, and finally, when the rubbings are 8 to 90% dry, peel off, and a complete rubbing. Every step is crisp and careful to ensure the integrity of the monument is preserved.
"Rubbing is a very particular art, from rubbing to various operating tools, there are strict requirements, so as to ensure that the monuments are completely expanded." Hu Laiwang said.

Rubbing refers to the use of rice paper and ink to expand the shape of inscriptions, stone carvings, bronzes and other cultural relics and the words and patterns on them, which is an ancient traditional technique in the mainland. Hu Laiwang told reporters that the ancient monuments contain rich traditional cultural information, and the works are diverse in style, which are valuable in historical research, calligraphy art, and literary art. It is hoped that through the expansion of historical sites, we will further promote excellent traditional culture and explore more cultural elements of Zhiyin.
The Caidian District Zhiyin Cultural Research Association said that it will sort out and classify these rubbings in the future, further interpret and explore their cultural value, in order to provide readers with a broader knowledge and more readable exhibition of Caidian historical sites, so that the general public can understand the history and culture of Zhiyin Caidian from all aspects.
