The first Bashu Laughing Star Ring Competition in 1998 originated from the "Zhongjiang Cousin" dispute between Zhongjiang's cousin Li Yongling and egg sister Jingwen.
Jing Wen, who was born as a salesman in a department store, first created the image of "Zhongjiang cousin", but Li Yongling went to a higher level after borrowing it and started the name of "Zhongjiang cousin", especially after the special report of Huaxi Metropolis Daily, Li Yongling's Zhongjiang cousin was completely fired.

Jing Wen was not convinced and went to Huaxi Metropolis Daily to complain about Li Yongling, and Huaxi Metropolis Daily had no choice, so it simply held a "Bashu Laughing Star Ring Competition" to PK.

The first Bashu Laughing Star Ring Competition caused a huge sensation in Sichuan and Chongqing, and more than 200 laughing stars signed up successively.

On October 16, 2006, Zhongjiang's cousin Li Yongling died in a car accident on the way back to Chengdu after a performance in Chongqing at the age of 48.
Liu Deyi, the stupid division commander, died of a heart attack in Chengdu Wenjiang District People's Hospital on June 15, 2008, at the age of 63.
On October 15, 2021, Ling Zongkui died in Chongqing at the age of 78.

Without the market, there will be no new representative laughing stars, which is also an important reason for the collective influx of Bashu laughing stars into the catering industry, after all, the brand of Bashu laughing stars cannot be eaten.

These 29 people, in fact, are not all of Bashu laughing stars, and there are some veteran Bashu laughing stars who did not participate in the competition for various reasons, such as Mei Lao Kan Pang Zuyun filming in other places at that time, Baden was the first judge, Zhao Liang did not participate, these three must be on the list if they participate.
Where will Bashu comedy go in the future? Whether to end up on these 29 Bashu laughing stars cannot be concluded. If Bashu comedy can make new breakthroughs in art form and creative concept, it is not hopeless.
