According to Myanmar media reports, recently, the town immigration office in Block 7 of Gao Gali Township, Karen State, Myanmar, suffered a fire on the evening of September 27, causing serious damage.
The fire was allegedly arson. At approximately 12 p.m. on 27 September, an armed man entered block 7 of the town of Gaujari and set fire to the town immigration office, located inside Bodi Road.
After the fire broke out, the military, police security personnel and firefighters under the State Management Commission quickly rushed to the scene to carry out rescue and fighting work. After hard work, the fire was extinguished around 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on 28 September. However, the fire caused severe damage to the township immigration office, and the entire office was almost burned down, leaving only the walls.
It is understood that the office is 90 feet long and 40 feet wide and is the main office space of the USCIS. The fire not only caused the burning of office tools, documents and other items inside the office, but also had a great impact on the daily work of the Immigration Bureau and the processing of relevant documents.
In order to capture the armed man who set the fire, the military and police under the State Management Commission have launched the investigation of the case, and have investigated and recorded the scene.
