Located in the central and western regions of Shaanxi Province, Liulin Town, Fengxiang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is a thousand-year-old town and a well-known wine town, and is the origin of Xifeng wine, the four famous wines in China. The town has a long history of winemaking, and Tang Shi Liulin wine is a tribute. As an important raw material for winemaking, sorghum cultivation in Liulin Town has a long history.
In the new era, with the proposal of the "Shaanxi 100 billion liquor industry cluster", the construction of raw grain base for liquor sorghum has been put on the agenda. Fengxiang District Liulin Town Song Village is located in the core area of wine sorghum planting, the village branch secretary Yue introduced that Song Village originally sorghum sporadic planting, did not form a scale, in recent years due to the rapid development of liquor enterprises, sorghum planting scale continues to increase, and signed a purchase contract with the winery, production and marketing integration, do not worry about selling. However, the variety and production cost of sorghum for wine have always restricted the further expansion of sorghum production.
In response to this problem, the joint group of soybean grains of the Organization Department of the Baoji Municipal Party Committee, the regional science and technology service group of Baoji soybean grains of Shaanxi Science Education Center, the Baoji Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Songcun actively coordinated and communicated, relying on the national millet sorghum industrial technology system and the small miscellaneous grain industrial technology system of Shaanxi Province, and the introduction of high-yield, high-quality and machine-harvestable sorghum varieties such as Jizao, Liaoza, and Jinzai has achieved remarkable results.
In terms of cost saving and efficiency improvement, the joint force group, the service group and the Baoji Academy of Agricultural Sciences actively investigate, visit and research and develop, and integrate and assemble the "Technical Specification for Mechanized Production of Sorghum for Brewing" with key links such as selection of sorghum varieties for winemaking, land preparation, seeding, pest control and harvesting, and released as the local standard of Baoji City, realizing the whole mechanization of brewing sorghum from sowing to harvest.
Yan Hongzhi, chairman of Fengxiang County Xinhongfeng Crop Planting Professional Cooperative, introduced that high-quality varieties are to solve production problems, first-class technology is to solve field management problems, and good seeds + good methods are the key to achieving sorghum cost saving and efficiency, increasing production and income. This year, under the guidance of the service group and the Municipal Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the cooperative planted more than 1,500 mu of sorghum for wine, all of which were mechanized production.
"At present, China Fengxiang Wine City Baoji has been officially named, and the college will further strengthen cooperation with the scientific research and promotion department of Baoji City, deepen exchanges in special variety selection, project declaration, base construction technology research and development and product processing, and contribute the wisdom of Xinong to the development of Baoji Wine City." Professor Gao Xiaoli of Northwest A&F University said.
