In the early morning of August 31, Beijing time, the famous journalist Romano reported that Barcelona's No. 10 Ansu Fati will join Premier League team Brighton, and the transfer will enter the "here we go" stage. Barca and Brighton have already negotiated the deal and the two sides have reached a verbal agreement.

Brighton have offered Barca a loan deal and the Seagulls are confident of bringing in Fathi, Romano reported. Meanwhile, Tottenham in the Premier League have also begun talks with Barca over Fathi's transfer. Romano has since followed up by saying Barca are ready to accept Brighton's offer, with Brighton manager De Zeerby playing a key role in the process.

Fati will join Brighton on loan until June 2024, with no buyout clause in his agreement. Brighton will bear the majority of Fathi's salary this season, with Fati travelling to Britain this Thursday local time.

Fati, born in 2002, is just 20 years old and has dual Guinea-Bissau and Spanish citizenship. Fati was born in Barca's La Masia Academy and has been promoted one step up the next step every year since 2016 and joined Barca's first team in September 2020. Currently on the Transfer Market, Fathi is worth 35 million euros, and the highest was 80 million.

During his time at Barca, Fathi made 112 appearances, scoring 29 goals and assisting 10 times, helping the team win one La Liga, one Copa del Rey and one Spanish Super Cup. After Messi's departure, Fati took over Barca's number 10 shirt. However, Fathi's playing time at Barca was squeezed with Laporta's introduction of a number of players last season, and he only started 10 times in La Liga, contributing seven goals and three assists.
