According to the People's Government of Xingshan County, Yichang City, Hubei Province, at about 20:30 on August 14, a mountain collapsed on the Pingwa Road (rural road) in Hazelnut Township, Xingshan County, hitting a seven-seater minivan passing here, causing serious damage to the vehicle and killing all seven people on board.
After the incident, Yichang City and Xingshan County quickly organized rescue. The relevant disposal work is currently underway.

◇ The water level of the stream rises rapidly, which may cause flash floods due to heavy precipitation upstream;
◇ The water level of the stream drops sharply, which may be caused by heavy rainfall upstream to collapse and block the river, resulting in a flow failure;
◇ The originally clear stream suddenly becomes turbid, and it may be that the heavy rain upstream brings sediment and stones into the water, forming a flash flood mudslide.
2 "Listen"
◇ If you hear rustling on the mountain, but you can't find the source of the sound, it may be the sound of loosening and flowing sand, and it is a sign that a mudslide is about to occur;
◇ If there is a roaring sound or a slight vibration in a ravine or deep valley, a flash flood mudslide is forming.
