Black pine belongs to the pine family, pine genus, evergreen trees, dark gray bark, old tree ash black thick. The branches are unfolded and the canopy is broadly conical or umbel-shaped. The leaves are needle-like dark green and shiny, coarse and stiff, six to twelve centimeters long. They bloom in April and May, and the cones ripen in the following autumn.
Black pine is produced in China and Japan. Positive tree species, prefer warm and hardy, drought tolerant, suitable for growing moist and well-drained neutral sandy soil.
Black pine is changed every four or five years, around March or October. Fertilization should be in spring and autumn, water and fertilizer are the mainstay. It is suitable for planting in spring and autumn. The stumps dug up in the mountains should be pruned, and the pine needles should be cut in half to reduce the evaporation of water, and then potted or planted on the ground to drizzle enough water to improve the survival rate. Plucking and pruning should be carried out when the new shoots are elongated and not needled, and no long branches are needed to be cut off in early spring.
Black pine can be sown and propagated in the spring. The main pests are red spiders and mesenchymals. Black pine is a more precious tree species in Lingnan bonsai, which can be cultivated into various pile landscapes, simple and vigorous.
