Especially in recent years, with the introduction and exchange of Japanese black pine bonsai, a large number of domestic mountain materials and ground cultivation materials have entered the market, and the enthusiasm for the creation of black pine bonsai has become increasingly high, the creative techniques have become more and more mature, and excellent works have continued to emerge.
However, because the development time of black pine bonsai in China is relatively short after all, and the creation cycle is long, the creator's understanding of its aesthetic characteristics is uneven, and some commodity practitioners, in the process of creation and processing, not only can not typical the aesthetic elements representing the aesthetic characteristics of black pine, but on the contrary, they are eager to achieve success, resulting in the arbitrary destruction of aesthetic characteristics.

First, the aesthetic characteristics of black pine
As far as different varieties are concerned, pine has a common rhyme and a personality beauty. "Tobacco leaves are verdant and dusty, and the frost skin peels off the purple dragon scales" is a typical description of the characteristics of Akamatsu, while "heavy snow presses the pine, the pine is straight and straight" is a portrayal of the personality of the black pine.
As an excellent tree species for bonsai production, black pine contains a distinctive aesthetic personality, and these aesthetic characteristics are created by the nature and rationality of black pine trees. 1. The beauty of the lines of black pine bonsai
Lines are the most basic and expressive artistic elements of painting, dance, bonsai and all other arts. The lines of black pine bonsai have typical aesthetic characteristics on their roots, stems, branches, and leaves.
Black pine is a deep-rooted tree species, and its roots penetrate very strongly: either curved like a chicken's claw, rooted in soil and stone cracks, stable as Mount Tai; or a foolish root, grasping the mountain stone, and clinging to the green mountain. Gives a strong sense of force. (See Figure 1)
The main line of black pine is highly artistically expressive, and is an important aesthetic element of black pine bonsai, and rich line variations express a variety of artistic charm. The force of the straight dry line is in one direction, representing the strength and speed, and the performance is straight, straight, sublime and positive; the force of the curved dry line alternates, the angle and straight are rigid, the arc and the circle are soft, and the black pine is represented by the rigid characteristics such as angle and straight. Another aesthetic feature of black pine bonsai in the expression of lines is texture. The texture of black pine bonsai refers to the texture structure of the epidermis of black pine, that is, a variety of crisscrossing, uneven texture changes.
The texture of black pine is determined by the intrinsic qualities of black pine, which is like a human fingerprint that cannot be copied, complex and changeable and full of tension, exuding a seductive artistic charm. The aesthetic texture of black pine can be summarized into three types: rock type, turtle shell type, and longitudinal fissure type.
Rock type: The bark is dark grayish black and thick, the longitudinal crack is very deep, and the scales are stacked on top of each other like rocks, and they are not easy to fall off. The lines formed by the layers of bark are very textured. (See Figure 3)
Turtle carapace type: the bark is dark gray and black, the skin is deeply cracked, and the pattern like a turtle shell is irregularly polygonal, very old. (See Figure 4)
Longitudinal fissure type: the bark is dark gray-black, the longitudinal fissure is deep, generally three or four lobes, and it is older. The longitudinal lobe type is most common in black pine bonsai. (See Figure 5)
These three types are common forms of black pine ancient wood, but not all exist in isolation, and there may be three forms coexisting in the same bonsai, two forms, or only one form. In general, the older the tree, the easier it is to form a rock type and a turtle shell type.
