2 batches of pure water for drinking "coconut trees" were detected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Beijing News (reporter Wang Ziyang) Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Bureau recently issued a food sampling announcement showing that the nominal Zhanjiang Coconut Cham Beverage Co., Ltd. produced 2 batches of drinking pure water, pseudomonas aeruginosa project is not qualified. In addition, 3 batches of drinking water products were not qualified for the same reason.

According to the announcement, the "coconut tree" drinking pure water (July 1, 2021, 18.9L/barrel) produced by Zhanjiang Coconut Cham Beverage Co., Ltd. was found to contain Pseudomonas aeruginosa in 5 samples. Another batch of "Coconut Tree" drinking purified water (July 3, 2021), 2 of the 5 samples were detected containing Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common condition pathogen that belongs to the non-fermented Gram-negative bacilli. This bacterium is widespread, especially in humid environments. Excess of drinking water may be due to the failure of individual enterprises to strictly control the sanitary conditions of the production and processing process as required, or related to the lack of cleaning and disinfection of packaging containers.

This is not the first time that the "Coconut Tree" brand of purified drinking water has been unqualified. In the notice on 26 batches of unqualified food issued by the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau on September 14 this year, 2 batches of "coconut tree" drinking pure water Pseudomonas aeruginosa projects were also unqualified. Among them, the "coconut tree" drinking pure water (18.9L/barrel, June 30, 2021) produced by Zhanjiang Coconut Cham Beverage Co., Ltd. and the "coconut tree" drinking pure water produced by Zhanjiang Coconut Cham Beverage Co., Ltd. (18.9L/barrel, July 5, 2021)

According to the information of Tianyancha, the shareholder of Zhanjiang Coconut Cham Beverage Co., Ltd. is Li Shangbao, who holds 60%; Hainan Volcanic Rock Mineral Water Co., Ltd. holds 40% of the shares. Equity penetration shows that Hainan Volcanic Rock Mineral Water Co., Ltd. belongs to Coconut Tree Group Co., Ltd., and the final holding company is Hainan Coconut Tree Employee Shareholding Association. The official website of the Coconut Tree Group describes the pure water that coconut trees drink, which is "able to promote metabolism and quickly bring harmful substances out of the body." Pure water has a high solubility, which is easily absorbed by human cells, which is conducive to quenching thirst and relieving fatigue."
