During the specially organized media open day, officers of Unit A briefed reporters on the daily training and living conditions of this special unit, which has always been quite mysterious. The officer said that members of Unit A always wear face coverings during their missions, and many details of the mission will not be made public.

According to the introduction, the selection of members of Unit A is very strict and divided into multiple stages. To enter the service of this special unit, you need to first be a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aged between 23~29 years old, already serving in the army and completing the basic courses of military school. Candidates must achieve excellent results in all basic physical fitness and skills tests and complete the psychological stability test with straight standards.

All the tasks carried out by Force A are classified, the specifics will not be disclosed, but the main direction is clear - to combat and prevent terrorism.

The officer in charge of briefing the reporters pointed out that the members of Unit A were both men and women, and all members of the team performed their duties faithfully with a high sense of responsibility and honor.

The soldier, who has served in Unit A for 20 years, said:

I did have questions in the past as to why Unit A only recruits career officers as members. But after 20 years of service in this unit, I think I've found the answer. Because our tasks need to be carried out by highly specialized and experienced specialists. Above all, the implementation of Force A's mandate requires clarity on two issues. First, we have weapons in our hands, which require rigorous rational reasoning before they can be used, otherwise they are likely to harm the innocent; Secondly, as a soldier, if you cannot decisively use the weapons in your hands to accurately destroy the enemy in times of crisis, you cannot defend innocent people, which is also a crime. So our work is inherently challenging. That is why each of our team members must be a true professional, because only such a person can carefully analyze these two sensitive issues and make decisions in the course of the mission.

The admission criteria for Unit A are very strict, and even among the outstanding military personnel who enter the final screening stage, only 1 in 10 applicants can successfully become official members. And even if you become a full member of Unit A, it does not mean that you can rest easy. Every year, the team members spend 8 months to repeatedly hone their military skills and tactics, and constantly learn the latest knowledge when they do not need to perform tasks.
