The meeting began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that a special committee had been set up to determine the causes of the fires and how to deal with them.
He instructed that all the circumstances of the accident be clarified and conclusions drawn within 10 days.
"In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State at the working meeting of the Abai region, the 'Kazakhstan Kharkin' fund will allocate 7 million tenge to the families of the victims, and each minor child will receive a pension of 2 million tenge. At the same time, a special fund has been set up to provide the necessary support to the families of the victims and the injured. The Prime Minister said.
In addition, more than 40 universities are preparing to provide grants and dormitories for fire-affected college students. University and graduate students who attend school at their own expense may be eligible for funding.
The Prime Minister spoke of the need to ensure normative materials and technical equipment for environmental and forestry institutions, with a focus on the implementation of early fire detection, video surveillance and monitoring systems.
Fire extinguishing in the Abai area continues. A total of 1,530 people, 320 vehicles and 14 helicopters participated.
