On April 1, 1969, the Ninth National Congress of China will be held in Beijing. There was a small episode during this solemn meeting, that is, our Premier Zhou specially went to the Beijing Hotel to visit an old gentleman, who was Mr. Lu Xun's third brother Zhou Jianren.
We must know that every national congress is held with many extremely complicated tasks, and Premier Zhou is in an important position, which should be a daily opportunity, but why does Premier Zhou take time out of his busy schedule to visit Zhou Jianren?
When Premier Zhou saw Zhou Jianren, he said excitedly: "Elder Jian, I have checked, you are the twenty-generation grandson of the Zhou clan of Shaoxing, I am the twenty-first generation grandson of the Zhou clan of Shaoxing, you are my elder, I want to call you uncle." ”
Zhou Jianren said busily: "You are the premier, I don't dare to be." ”
In fact, as early as 1938, at the memorial service held in Wuhan to commemorate the second anniversary of Mr. Lu Xun's death, Premier Zhou said:
"I think that at today's meeting to commemorate the second anniversary of Mr. Lu Xun's death, everyone has sincerely come to commemorate Mr. Lu Xun. I am not a literary writer myself, but I still joined this literary and art association, because in terms of pedigree I may be Mr. Lu Xun's own family, because we are both born in the Zhou family in Shaoxing City. ”
At such a serious meeting, Premier Zhou can say such a thing, if there is no basis, it is disrespect for the deceased Mr. Lu Xun, which can be seen that Premier Zhou has already discovered something.
It wasn't until 1952 that Xu Guangping came to Premier Zhou's home in Zhongnanhai, when he said to Xu Guangping, "I should call you aunt." ”
Xu Guangping smiled and said, "Then I don't dare to be!" ”
Premier Zhou went on to say: "I have already investigated my family lineage with Mr. Lu Xun and learned that Mr. Lu Xun and I are indeed part of our own family, but the relationship is already very distant, and Mr. Lu Xun is one generation older than me. ”
I really didn't expect that Premier Zhou and the three Lu Xun brothers actually had a layer of kinship.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="6" > shaoxing people born in Huai'an? </h1>
On March 5, 1898, Premier Zhou was born in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, and it is reasonable to say that Premier Zhou is an authentic Huai'an native, but Premier Zhou's ancestral home is in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.
Shaoxing is a good place for people to excel in the spirit, and the folk have had such a saying since ancient times that "Shaoxing Shiye Jia Tianxia". And the Zhou clan that Premier Zhou was born into had more than one master.
Premier Zhou's grandfather, Zhou Panlong, was a well-known Shaoxing master, and during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, Zhou Panlong followed his second brother to travel thousands of miles north to Huai'an, Zhejiang Province, and has since settled in this land.
In his later years, he served in ShanyangZhi County, but unfortunately, when he took office, the old man was seriously ill and died not long after.
Zhou Panlong was a clean official who was upright and righteous for the people, with clean sleeves and a clean life, so that except for a house in Tuoma Lane and a cemetery in the suburbs, there was no property left to posterity, so when Premier Zhou was born, the family was already in decline.
Premier Zhou's father found a Huaiyin woman as his wife, that is, Premier Zhou's mother Wan Shi, Huaiyin was then subordinate to Huai'an Province, so in terms of blood analysis, Premier Zhou, whose ancestral home in Shaoxing, had half Huai'an and half Shaoxing blood.
Later, Premier Zhou also said:
"My ancestral grave is in Shaoxing, and Shaoxing's family tree has my name on it, and I can't help but admit that I am a Shaoxing native." But I was born in Huai'an, full of Huai'an accent, and I can't help but admit that I am a Huai'an native. That's why I said I was 'originally from Zhejiang, born in Huai'an, and also from Jiangsu and Zhejiang'. It is said that it is a Shaoxing person, not only that there are ancestral tombs and family trees, but more importantly, the roots of the feudal family are in Shaoxing. ”
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="6" > Zhou's "out of the mud without staining"</h1>
In today's Shaoxing City, at the eastern end of Laodong Road, there is an ordinary bungalow made of brick tiles in the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, sitting north and facing south, which is a very old building, which is the ancestral residence of Premier Zhou.
People gave Premier Zhou a name to his ancestral home, "Baishitang", because Zhou's ancestors have settled here for generations. The second road west of the "Hundred Years Hall" enters the building, which is the family property belonging to Zhou Panlong.
The Zhou family originated in Shaoxing for a thousand years, such a huge family, with a history of origin, has produced many famous sages.
There is a poem "Love Lotus Saying" that everyone has read, "Give the only love lotus out of the mud without staining, Mao Qing lian without demon, straight through the middle, not vines and branches, fragrant far and clear, pavilion pure plant, can be viewed from a distance and can not be blasphemed." ”
This superb writing of the Zhizhi is from Zhou Dunyi, the founder of the Song Dynasty.
Zhou Dunyi was born in Daozhou, which is now Daoxian County, Hunan, and in 1988, Hunan Daoxian set up a survey team to investigate Zhou Dunyi, and the investigation team found a piece of the "Tianle Zhou Clan Genealogy" in Shangyu, which was repaired in Shanyin during the Qing Guangxu period, which is now Shaoxing City.
After combining these two Pieces of Zhou Clan Genealogy, the investigation team came to the conclusion that the two sons of Zhou Dunyi's ninth grandson Zhou Ao, Zhou De and Zhou Guanyi, were half-brothers and the ancestors of Mr. Lu Xun and Premier Zhou.
Zhou Dunyi moved to Guiyang, Hunan province, in the sixth year of the Qing Calendar, to serve as a county commander, but not all of his descendants moved with him to Hunan, and one of them moved to Shaoxing.
The descendants of this branch, Zhou Angjun and Zhou Panlong, moved to Huai'an and took root ever since, and were called shaoxing Baoyouqiao Zhou clan by later generations. At this point, it can be determined that Zhou Dunyi is the ancestor of Premier Zhou.
Because Premier Zhou's ancestral home is in such a large family as the Zhou clan of Shaoxing, he has a deep affection for Shaoxing. Looking at the articles and related archival materials he wrote in his early years, Premier Zhou often regarded himself as a Shaoxing native. There are three servings:
1. In 1914, he wrote in the article "Sheyang Reminiscences": "Yu Ben Zhejiang people, since their first father was eunuch Wu Province, moved to the family and lived in Yan. ”
2. In 1917, Zhou Enlai graduated from Nankai Middle School, and the Nankai School Graduation Certificate records that Zhou Enlai, a student of the middle school department, is 19 years old and a native of Shao (Xing) County, Zhejiang Province. In the "Nankai School Student Address Book" about Premier Zhou, it is recorded: "Junzi Xiangyu, The Number Feifei, Zhejiang Huiji (that is, Shaoxing County) people. ”
3. In 1920, the "Introduction to Work-study in France" issued by the Beijing Huafa Education Association recorded: "There is a student Premier Zhou, who is from Shaoxing County, Zhejiang. ”
The above three points are enough to prove Premier Zhou's strong feelings for this ancestral land. Even during the war-torn War of Resistance, Premier Zhou often worried about Shaoxing, and when he had a rare opportunity to come to Zhejiang, Premier Zhou would actively go to Shaoxing to visit the tomb and worship his ancestors.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhou, as the premier of the country, continued to pay attention to the development of Shaoxing and the continuation of the Zhou family.

In 1959, when Deng Yingchao inspected Shaoxing and visited the Shaoxing distillery, he smiled and said to the accompanying factory leaders: "Enlai likes Shaoxing wine very much, and he also likes to drink a little." ”
As a specialty of the ancestral land, Premier Zhou also likes Shaoxing yellow wine, and he not only likes to drink Shaoxing wine, but also introduces it to colleagues and VIPs from all over the world, which shows that he has taken Shaoxing yellow wine as a pride.
Since the opening of the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing in 1959, it has been using the ancient Yue Longshan Shaoxing wine as a special product of yellow wine, and it is said that when the premier sets up a banquet to entertain foreign guests, the first cup of wine is often Shaoxing yellow wine.
In 1988, the state implemented the protocol reform, and Shaoxing rice wine was officially awarded the position of special wine for state banquets, thanks to the strong support of Premier Zhou.
Speaking of the Zhou family in Shaoxing, the living conditions of the Zhou family of the "Hundred Years Hall" at that time were quite difficult, and in 1950, the State Council promulgated the "Guidelines for the Implementation of China's Tax Administration", which included the real estate tax in the tax to be collected.
At that time, the Zhou family could not afford to pay the real estate tax on the house, and when Premier Zhou learned about it, he immediately sent 380,000 yuan to them to solve their urgent needs.
In 1953, the Zhou family wrote to him again to tell him that the real estate tax of the "Hundred Years Hall" was to be renewed, and Premier Zhou did not say a word and immediately remitted another 200,000 yuan. Before and after sent 580,000 yuan to the ancestral family, you know, even if it is the prime minister, 580,000 yuan is not a small amount.
At this point, after understanding Premier Zhou's family lineage, we have thoroughly confirmed the origin of Premier Zhou and Mr. Lu Xun.
Two sages, one is a great proletarian revolutionary, statesman, military man, diplomat, and one of the main leaders of the Party and the state; The other is a famous writer, thinker, revolutionary, democracy fighter, and one of the founders of modern Chinese literature.
The two people who are active in different fields have the same pursuit and goal, and truly achieve what their ancestors said: "out of the mud without staining, mao qing lian without demon", which is worthy of the learning and respect of future generations.
