Recently, Guizhou Science and Technology Publishing House published the book "Broad Water Butterfly", which recorded the professional scientific research conducted by researchers in Guizhou Province in the past three years on the Broad Water National Nature Reserve in Suiyang County, Zunyi City, as well as the latest results of the investigation and research of butterfly species, including 14 new record butterfly species in Guizhou.

Kuanshui National Nature Reserve is located in the slope area on the east side of the Qianbei MountainOus Building Mountain Range, at the junction of Wangcao Town, Huangyang Town and Kuanguang Town in Suiyang County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, and is a typical subtropical evergreen leaf pavilion leaf mixed forest, black langur monkey, red-bellied golden pheasant population and natural habitat and a large number of wild rare animals as the main protection objects, and is also one of the famous bird watching bases in China.

The publication of "Broad Water Butterfly" is written by Xing Jichun, Li Zizhong, Chen Zhengjun, Yu Dengli and Sun Guihong, and jointly completed by Guizhou University, Guizhou Forestry Bureau, Guizhou Provincial Broad Water National Nature Reserve Management Bureau, and Guizhou Wildlife Conservation Association. At present, there are 180 species of butterflies in 5 families and 101 genera of butterflies in The Wide Water National Nature Reserve, including not only narrow-spotted green phoenix butterfly and brown hook phoenix butterfly, but also 14 new record butterfly species in Guizhou, such as Shanghai eyebrow butterfly, black spotted shade eye butterfly, white lined gray butterfly, and black panther butterfly.

In recent years, the Department of Science and Technology of Guizhou Province has set up a project to fund the "Evaluation Research on the Diversity and Conservation and Utilization of Insect Resources in the Broad Water National Nature Reserve", which was conducted by the Institute of Entomology of Guizhou University as the host unit, and published the book "Insects in the Wide Water Landscape", which involved fewer butterfly species, only 31 species in 21 genera and 31 species; The results of the study have greatly improved compared with the previously recorded number of species, which enriches the species diversity of the butterfly resources in the reserve.
