Recently, former NBA player Larry Hughes accepted a question and answer from a reporter, and the following are some of the questions and answers:
Q: You were selected by 76 people in 1998. What was it like to be draft night? What is your most memorable memory?
A: It was a great feeling, and a lot of my family was there. That draft was in Ottawa, Canada, and I traveled a long way there with my family — my grandmother, my uncles, my high school coaches. That's important to me.
Q: You've been a teammate with 76ers and Aaron Iverson. I know you guys have a great relationship, so what's it like to be teammates and friends with Iverson?
A: Iverson was one of my best buddies and he's one of my best friends now. We haven't been teammates for long, but we've been friends for a long time. We've been in touch since we met, and we have a common topic between us. I used to have a younger brother who had some physical problems, and Iverson had a sister too, so that's what we have in common. My brother died later, but he knew Iverson before me. So, we became friends from the beginning.
