Beijing, July 27, China Youth Network (Reporter Han Yu) The large-scale revolutionary historical Sichuan opera "Eternal Life in the Fire" will be performed three times at the Beijing Tianqiao Theater from July 28 to 30, 2021. Through the interpretation of the stories of many characters such as revolutionary martyrs Jiang Jie and Xu Yunfeng, the drama remembers the martyrs and reviews the revolutionary process of the party. From 19:30 to 21:30 on July 28, China Youth Network will broadcast its first performance in Beijing live.

"Eternal Life in the Fire" is a gift launched by the Chengdu Sichuan Opera Research Institute to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, aiming to review the revolutionary course of the Party, reflecting the fearless spirit of the Communists who are brave in struggle and not afraid of sacrifice and the original intention of seeking happiness for the people. The play tells that on the eve of liberation, Jiang Jie was assigned by the party to go to the Huaying Mountains to carry out work. After the death of her husband Peng Songtao, qiang endured grief and participated in armed struggle. Due to the betrayal of the traitor Fu Zhigao, Xu Yunfeng and she were both arrested. Sister Jiang was escorted to Chongqing, and the enemy tried to open a gap in Sister Jiang, but found nothing. In prison, she and Xu Yunfeng led their friends to carry out a heroic and indomitable struggle against the enemy...
After more than a year of careful preparation and rehearsal, "Eternal Life in the Fire" condensed the painstaking efforts of the main creative staff. The drama was adapted by Meng Lijing, a national first-class screenwriter Daniel Zhang and outstanding young screenwriter of Chengdu Sichuan Opera Research Institute, based on the classic plays "Red Rock", "Xu Yunfeng" and "Sister Jiang", directed by Zhou Long, a famous director, a national first-class actor and professor of the China Academy of Performing Arts, composed and arranged by Wang Wenxun, a famous national first-class composer, Wang Weizhong, a famous national first-class stage designer, designed stage art and lighting, the famous national first-class stage designer Lan Ling and Zhang Ying designed costumes and styling, and the national second-level actor Long Yi served as an assistant director.
Jiang Jie, the core character of "Eternal Life in the Fire", is played by Chen Qiaoru, a famous Sichuan opera performance artist, a national first-class actor, and the winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award "Second Degree Plum". In addition, the national first-class actor Cai Shaobo played Xu Yunfeng, and the national second-level actor Kang Yong played Xu Pengfei. Outstanding xiaosheng actor Chen Zuoquan plays Fu Zhigao, national first-class actor and winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award Wang Yumei plays Mary, outstanding young actor Wang Yaochao plays Huawei, national first-class actor and Winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award Yu Jia plays Sun Mingxia, national second-level actor Wang Huamao plays the old woman with two guns, as well as outstanding young actor Zhou Libing, and national second-level actor Wen Dong.
