The two defendants drove to the vicinity of the Ganggou Junction interchange of the Jinan Ring Expressway, changed to the Lu A-plate Peugeot sedan hidden here, loaded Li into a duffel bag and placed it in the trunk of the car, and then drove away from Jinan.
At about 7 o'clock the next day, Zhu demanded a ransom of 3 million yuan from the husband of the victim Li by telephone. Zhu and Zhang's behavior caused Multiple Soft Tissue Bruises and Bruises on Li's face and body surface. According to the forensic medical appraisal, the injuries to Li's face and body surface constituted minor injuries.
At 12:00 on June 10, 2020, the public security organs arrested Zhu and Zhang near the locks of Hanzhuang Town, Weishan County, Shandong Province, based on the victim's report and relevant clues, and the victim Li was rescued on the spot. After interrogation, Zhu and Zhang confessed to the above-mentioned criminal facts after they were arrested.

The Municipal Central District Court held that:
Zhu X and Zhang X jointly kidnapped others for the purpose of extorting property, and the public prosecution organ accused them of kidnapping. After the two defendants are returned to the case and truthfully confess their crimes, they may be given a lenient punishment in accordance with law. In the process of joint crime, the two cooperated with each other and divided their labor and cooperated, which played an indispensable role in the completion of the results of the crime, and the defense opinion of Zhang's defender that he was an accessory was not accepted. The second defendant admits the facts of the alleged crime, is willing to accept punishment, and may be dealt with leniently in accordance with law.
Recently, the Municipal Central District Court ruled:
Defendant Zhu committed the crime of kidnapping and was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months imprisonment and fined 50,000 yuan; defendant Zhang X committed the crime of kidnapping and was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment and fined 50,000 yuan.
