Where is Canada? It is closer to the Arctic Circle than the United States, but Canada is deploying military forces to China's doorstep, and recently a CP-140 "Aurora" maritime anti-submarine patrol aircraft was deployed to Japan's Atsugi base, a military facility jointly used by Japan and the United States, which was originally the main station of the fifth wing of the U.S. Navy's carrier-based aircraft.
Canada wants to brush its existence by confronting China, and the CP-140 "Aurora" is not an advanced model, but a Canadian model of the P-3C "Orion" maritime anti-submarine patrol aircraft that the United States and Australia are eliminating. The Royal Canadian Air Force's use of CP-140 maritime anti-submarine patrol aircraft to demonstrate at China's gates is clearly overestimating its own strength.
The PLA has a variety of means to counter Canada's CP-140 Aurora maritime anti-submarine patrol aircraft, so the CP-140 cannot recover face in the first island chain.
