In October, in the Tarim Poplar Forest National Forest Park in Luntai County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, more than 100 square kilometers of pristine poplar forests ushered in the best viewing season, and golden poplars were intertwined with blue skies, deserts, water birds and lakes.
Located on the northeastern edge of the Taklamakan Desert, Tarim Poplar Forest National Forest Park is the largest original poplar forest park in Xinjiang and the most concentrated area of original poplar forest in the entire Tarim River Basin.
Every year, when the best season for poplar viewing comes, a large number of tourists come to visit. It integrates the natural landscape of tarim River, poplar landscape, desert landscape and petroleum industry landscape, and is a tourist resort for sightseeing, field adventure and science popularization.
The magnificent desert poplar scenery benefits from the efforts made by the local government to protect the ecological environment. In recent years, 230 rangers in Luntai County have carried out patrols, patrols and fire prevention publicity on a regular basis, and through flood irrigation projects, the original poplar forest has alleviated the drought, and in 2021, the natural forest will be sealed and cultivated to reach 20,000 mu, and the poplar forest will be cultivated to reach 20,000 mu.
The best viewing season for the original poplar forest in tarim poplar forest national forest park lasts from mid-October to around mid-November.
