Instead of laughing at my bored attachment to this herd of ants, I raced to see where they were going to transport this bug, which was many times larger than them.

Finally, next to a wooden plank, the ants stopped moving forward and tried to pull the worm under the plank, but all in vain, how could the gap in the plank accommodate the worm?

But they were more persistent than I, the spectators, pushing and pulling back and forth along the plank, from one end to the other, and from the other end to this end, until my eyes were straight and my neck was stiff, and they were still happy to repeat the same work.
