The Momog National Nature Reserve in Lai County, Baicheng Town, Jilin Province, is an important resting place on the migration route of migratory birds in East Asia, especially the migration of the eastern population of the world's critically endangered species, the White Crane (breeding in northeastern Siberia and wintering in Poyang Lake, China).

At present, it is the season of white dew, and the old saying says that white dew has three seasons: one waits for the wild geese to come, the second waits for the birds to return, and the three birds in the flock are shy. In Jianping Township, Zhenlai County, these three weathers correspond exactly. Gray cranes sing with their necks, bean geese slowly descend from the clouds, hundreds of swallows flock to flock, flipping and cruising like waves, egrets, grass herons, and herons standing like guardians in rice fields and wetlands, waiting for opportunities.

At the beginning of September, the Jilin Baicheng Escort Team has carried out wildlife resources and environmental surveys in townships, villages and wetlands with a high density of migratory birds in Zhenlai County, collecting clues about wild animals, distributing publicity materials, rescuing injured birds, and making preparations for the return of migratory birds.

At present, Jilin Zhenlai has become a veritable "bird paradise", and the territory has been identified with 22 species of national first-class protected birds such as white crane, red-crowned crane, white-naped crane, white-headed crane, great bustard, etc., and 49 species of national second-class protected birds such as gray crane and feather crane.
