Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI), headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, was founded on May 22, 1911. The founding members are Germany, Austria, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

Although it is a unified international organization, the FCI has strong compatibility and has 86 member institutions. France's SCC, Japan's JKC and China's CKU are among its member institutions. These institutions retain their own identity, but they are all under the unified management of the FCI and use a common points system. It is the most authoritative dog certification body in the world, aiming to improve and protect the quality of dogs in the world. The FCI recognizes a total of 331 dog breeds, and its certified "pedigree certificate" is the only universal qualification certificate

KC has established the award method for winning dogs, using the certificate of excellence as the proof of winning. KC is not only the oldest kennel association in the world, but also recognized as one of the three most influential organizations in the world for the classification of dog populations, with more than 190 dog breeds recognized so far, and it is famous for hosting the CRUFTS Dog Show every year.

So KC was the earliest, the United States surpassed the United Kingdom, AKC (1884) was established, and its influence far exceeded KC.
