Lan Ying (1585-1664), Yizuo (1585-c. 1666), was an outstanding painter of the Ming Dynasty. Zi Tian Shu, The Number Of Butterflies, Late Stone Tuo, Shan Gong, Master of the Ten Thousand Seals, and Researcher of the West Lake. Also known as Dongguo Laonong, the list where he lives is called "Chengqu Maotang". A native of Qiantang (present-day Hangzhou, Zhejiang). He is one of the representative painters of the late Zhejiang School.

Lan Ying took painting as a profession all her life, and once roamed the north and south, feasted on famous places, and broadened her horizons, thus constantly enriching the content of her creation. In his lineage, those who directly inherited the mantle were the descendants of the Lan family, such as Lan Meng, Lan Shen, Lan Tao, etc., and the disciples Liu Du and Wang Yi all had their own achievements. Famous painters such as Chen Hongshou and Jinling Bajia at the same time and later in the late Ming Dynasty were also influenced by him.

Lan Ying was good at landscapes, flowers, and orchid stones, and was a master of the Song and Yuan dynasties, and in his early years he mainly benefited from Huang Gongwang, and his works were simple and beautiful, and Han Hao said in "The Continuation of the Illustrated Treasure Book": "Painting from Huang Zijiu (that is, Huang Gongwang), the beginning and awakening." Middle-aged self-reliance in the court, peeping into the Jin, Tang, and Song Dynasties, imitating the penmanship of the Yuan Dynasty, collecting the advantages and strengths, and thus getting started, can change the poles. Not only did he take the Fa Guo Xi, Li Tang, Ma and Xia, but he also carefully studied Ermi and Yunshan. He is particularly attentive to Huang Gongwang's paintings. The paintings of contemporary predecessor Shen Zhou are also enthusiastic about teaching. In addition, the roaming north and south are wide, and the vision is wide, so the pen is longitudinal and ancient, and the style is beautiful.
