New features are coming!
In the Year of the Multi-Headed Snake, Hearthstone is committed to improving the current gaming experience and creating a better, better and more convenient game client! So we're excited to announce that Hearthstone is about to see three new features in the 23.2 patch!
Gold Upgrade
The long-awaited feature is finally online! Gold card enthusiasts now have the option to upgrade the normal version of the card to the gold version instead of having to recreate the gold card. The Difference in Consumption between Base and Gold Cards required to upgrade the Arcane Dust required to upgrade a card. That is to say, choose to upgrade the card, and the arcane dust will not have the slightest additional damage! Gold card lovers can finally easily and efficiently show off their favorite cards.
Developer Comments: We're looking forward to rolling out this feature for everyone to take advantage of. We wanted to create a smooth and convenient experience without having to disrupt the usual card making process. We determined from the outset that it wasn't just "convenient": there would be no extra damage to arcane dust when upgrading a normal card to a gold card; gold plating a normal card was always cheaper than crafting a gold card, and players would be more interested in using this eye-catching option!
Chat to share deck codes
Now you can easily share deck codes via in-game chat! Send a deck code to a friend and they can copy the code directly in the chat box and paste it into the deck builder. Fill the friends bar, fill the deck slot, easily show your unique skills, and freely learn from the ladder tricks.
Developer Review: Deck code used to be one of the most convenient improvements added to the game, but in fact, sharing deck code within the game is not easy. We decided to solve this problem, so we made this powerful sharing tool to create a better experience.
Prefer multiple card patterns
Finally, you can prefer multiple card back patterns, and you don't have to sit back and take just one. In each battle, you'll use one randomly from your preferred card back pattern. There are already so many beautiful card back patterns in the game, how to choose only one?! Because card back settings are now saved based on decks, your most recently selected settings are used in other occasions than against a match, such as when opening a card pack.
Developer Review: Over the years, many fantastic card back patterns have been added to the game. We feel the need to find a middle ground between "just one" and "random all-select". Finding a user experience that solves this problem is undoubtedly a challenge, and we look forward to hearing feedback from players on this!
We're developing a number of optimizations this year, and these are just some of them. We're working on a lot of new features and hope to share more with you soon. Stay tuned for more updates, or share with us the new features you'd like to see in the game client.
23.2 Patch
The 23.2 patch will be available on May 11 and includes a new Tavern Wargame Season, Mercenary Chronicles Update, new features, bug fixes, and more!
Tavern Wargame Update
Comprehensive updates
The first Tavern Warga season, Rise of naga, will kick off with patch 23.2!

The companion will leave the Tavern Wargame in this patch.

New companion types and keywords
In the new season, Naga will land at Bob's Tavern. The Nagas, which focus on spells, have unique new keywords to shape spells. Companions with spell shaping keywords provide a temporary spell card each turn, which can provide a buff in the next battle. Read the "Rise of the Naga" preview blog post to learn about naga's shaping spells!
In the first two weeks after the patch, Naga appears in every battle. They then go into normal Companion Type rotation. The number of companion types available per match will not change in this patch, except that there is one more companion type in the audience.

Companion pool changes
The Warriors of the Aces, the Deadly Spores, the Fusion Trolls, the Seafood Feeder, and the Fangs Captain have been removed from the Companion Pool.
The Nightmare Fusion Monster returns to the Companion Pool and is now Tavern Level 3.
The Thornback Knight returns to the Minions Pool and now has 5 Attack Damage.
Developer Review: Fusion Trolls would have been fun, but it also led to a similar composition of the final team. On a design level, fusion trolls are multi-tasking: one that acts as a flexible minion for all minions types, a drive for the pavilion stream, and an opportunity to flip the tables against strong enemies. It's time to try out some fresh designs, so we spread these functions over to the multiple minions in the patch: the Nightmare Fusion Monster, the Mantis Demon Queen, and the Mang god Train King. In addition, this change also shows a change in the design concept of The Tavern Wargame: whenever we launch a new Companion type or major system, we plan to introduce similar Companion Pool changes at the same time to keep the game fresh.

On the second day after completing all 10 active missions, Torch will restore the timeline and release the Daily Mission as usual, even if the activity time has not yet ended.
