Today, ZTE Mobile, the leading smartphone brand in mainland China, officially released its first flagship product after Wu Jing's endorsement: ZTE Axon 40 Ultra. The mobile phone is equipped with the precise adjustment of the new generation of Snapdragon 8 flagship chip, from the screen, image, performance "trinity" to create the ultimate form of the straight board flagship, the era of "born for the big scene".
It is understood that the Axon 40 Ultra is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED flexible full screen, the screen resolution is 2480×1116, and the peak brightness can reach 1500nit. Screen bezel 0.6 mm, support 120Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut display, 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, with UDC Pro screen display chip.
In the camera area of the screen, the screen pixel density of ZTE Axon 40 Ultra is 400PPI, and the first independent pixel one-drive technology, each pixel unit is driven by a separate pixel circuit, and the circuit uses distributed transparent traces to eliminate the aggregation of the edge circuit in the lower area of the screen and reduce the impact on the screen display.
In terms of camera, the front lens of the Axon 40 Ultra is 16 million pixels, and the built-in front camera transparency algorithm 3.0 can reduce noise through AI deep learning to achieve real-time calibration, de-fogging, de-glare and other functions in different light environments.
The rear part is a 64-megapixel triple main camera, including a 35mm equivalent focal length humanistic main camera, an ultra-wide angle main camera, and a periscope telephoto main camera, of which the first two use Sony IMX787 sensors, and the three main cameras support lightning capture, preset focus, and AI super night scene functions. Axon 40 Ultra is equipped with a new generation of Snapdragon 8 processor, retaining a nine-layer dual-channel VC liquid-cooled heat dissipation system, using graphene vapor plate, diamond thermal conductivity gel and other materials, the official thermal conductivity is doubled, and the total heat dissipation area is 36356 square millimeters. Equipped with 5000mAh battery, support 80W super fast charge.
The Axon 40 Ultra also features three-microphone stereo audio zoom technology, stereo dual speakers, and an X-axis linear motor, which officially says a 46 percent increase in steady-state vibration and a 157 percent increase in transient vibration.
Today, ZTE also released the Axon 40 Pro. There are three colors of "Magic Night Black", "Crystal Mist Blue" and "Starlight Orange", with a thickness of 8.46 mm and a weight of 199 grams, and the lens module adopts double ring design and CNC process.
The Axon 40 Pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED flexible full-screen that supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone has four rear cameras, including a 100-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 4cm macro lens, a standalone depth-of-field lens, and supports 4K 60 fps video recording. In terms of performance and configuration, the Axon 40 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 870 processor, has stereoscopic dual speakers and X-axis linear motors, built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging.
In terms of price, the Axon 40 Pro has 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB three configurations, Axon 40 Ultra has 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB four capacity configurations. The Axon 40 Pro starts at $2998 and the Axon 40 Ultra starts at $4,998. Pre-sale is currently open and will go on sale on May 13.
According to Ni Fei, president of ZTE Terminal Division, at today's press conference, the annual shipment of terminals in 2021 exceeded 100 million units, of which 50% were self-developed chips. The overall revenue of the consumer business reached 25.73 billion yuan, an increase of 59.2% year-on-year. Mobile phone product revenue increased by nearly 40% year-on-year.
