What I want to do most after the pandemic ban is lifted: spend a perfect day in the picturesque triathlon arena

Katie Roebuck was a former BBC journalist and now works on equestrian reporting. Let's take a look at her advice on choosing and watching three events.

With the FIMA Triathlon Nations Cup Series and many major five-star competitions on the agenda, the International Triathlon has entered a new season in full swing.

Spending a day at the triathlon is a very fun experience for both family and friends. Whether you're a hardcore equestrian or just want to hang out with the kids for a day, there's plenty to enjoy here.

Most triathlon races design special programs on the field, such as the Shetland Pony Event or the Falcon Show. Some competitions also design games for children. At last weekend's Kentucky Three-Day event, viewers could also complete a scavenger hunt through an app downloaded to their phones, a great way to kill time when they're not paying attention to the game. The Badminton Horse Trials have their own radio station, allowing visitors to keep up to date on all the progress of the event, no matter where they are in the expanse of the estate!

Many of the competitions feature horse show stalls and delicious restaurants. There may also be a variety of different levels of competition at the same time, and spectators can watch the performance of different levels of horses and riders.

Our advice is to arrive on site early so as not to miss out on your favorite activity. Or, see if you can camp for a few days during the race!

When it comes to watching races, the hillsides are often the best place to watch the races, and you don't have to run around to see how the combination of people and horses performs on multiple obstacles. Do you want to wait for an exciting jump in front of a big water barrier? Or would you rather cheer up your riders on the side of the road or welcome them to victory at the finish line?

You need to plan. Make sure your travel arrangements have plenty of time to attend the event. If you have children, make sure they know where to meet if they get lost – some organizers offer wristbands so it's easier for parents to find children who have wandered away. If you have pet dogs, be sure to check that they are allowed on the field. Dogs are usually welcome, as long as the owner promises to lead them well!

Popular international triathlon inventory

There are three-track races around the world, whether it's a local race or an international race where human and horse superstars are gathered!

The five-star season is about to begin, and following Kentucky, the next few weeks of games are coming from Barmington, England, and Luhmuhlen, Germany. The second half of the season includes top events such as Burghley in the United Kingdom, Pau in France, Fair Hill in the United States and Adelaide in Australia.

In addition to the five-star competitions, the FIMA Triathlon Nations Cup has been very exciting. These series are generally FIMA four-star sprints, with elite teams representing their countries, competing in each race from May to October, and their points will determine which country will become the overall champion of the year. Multiple race venues are unique, and if you're interested in all three races, take a closer look at the 2022 FIR Nations Cup calendar!

This year's Nations Cup race will kick off the first race from Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy. This picturesque venue is also home to the FIMA Triathlon World Championships this September, so it's safe to say that its facilities are absolutely first class.

Located less than an hour's drive from Rome, Platoni is the perfect combination of sports and tourism, with delicious food and professional hospitality backing the event's success.

The July fixture list also includes Avenches, Switzerland. What could be better than a trip to Switzerland's mountains and lakes and enjoying a four-star game. Lake Murten is the closest of several lakes near Avenches, and jumping into the crystal clear waters of the lake is a lot of fun.

Haras Du Pin, located in the heart of the Normandy region of France, is one of the most famous equestrian venues in Europe. The rich history has earned it the title of "Versailles of the Horse"! Here are the best performances at the 2020 FIR Triathlon Nations Cup...

The Ballindenisk triathlon in Country Cork, on the southeast coast of Ireland, is also worth noting. September is the most beautiful season here, and likewise, the horses can take us to some incredibly beautiful places. The venue is less than half an hour from Cork City, and the culture here is more long and interesting than you might think, so why not check it out?

The Dutch Boekelo's triathlon is known as a hodgepodge of races. October is the end of the season and the event combines competition, shopping, social and corporate events. A word of caution... Don't get carried away with the river too much, or you'll miss out on the transportation home!
