The game record list | the youngest fixed-period record for the world's professional chess players

This is the first issue of the "Game Record List", and the theme of this issue is the world's youngest professional chess player. Entry age = entry period - date of birth, which seems to be a very simple numerical statistic, but when looking through the existing reports on this record, it is found that there is a big discrepancy between the different reports. Therefore, this article takes the age of 11 as the boundary, sorts out the list of the youngest fixed segment records, and revisits the genius behind these records.

Cho Hwan-hyun

Cho Hwan-hyun's record at the Korean Chess Academy is October 14, 1962, and his birthday is March 10, 1953. Therefore, the age of the fixed section is 9 years old, July 4 days, which is a little earlier than Chang Hao. On April 26, 1963, Cho Washun-hyun was promoted to the second stage, which also set a record of the youngest second stage of 10 years and one month, which no one has been able to break so far.

Half a year after being promoted to the second stage of the Korean Chess Academy, Cho Kao-hyun went to Japan to visit his teacher Kensaku Se, but after being evaluated by the Japan Chess Academy, he was only rated as a fourth-level student, and it was not until 1966 that the 13-year-old Cho Kao-hyun passed the entrance examination of the Japanese Chess Academy. In the years leading up to the period, Cho lived alone in a tatami room on the second floor of The Sekoshi-ken writers, and his habit of being alone and lonely was developed at this time.

The professional chess player with "fixed paragraph" like this is not only Cao Xuanxuan, but also Yu Zhengqi below. As a record, the age of the Korean chess academy of 9 years and 7 months is real and effective, but this incident can reflect the strength of Japanese Go at that time, and even the professional bottom line is much higher than that of South Korea. In 1980, Cao Xuanxuan, who was already the first person in China, lost in two commemorative games with Cho Ji-hoon, depressed and drunk on the streets in the dark night of the New Year, when who could have imagined that Japanese Go would become a fire in July and decline rapidly.

Bound by military service, in 1972, the 20-year-old Cho left Japan and returned to Seoul, shortly after serving in the Air Force. At the same time, the Korean Chess Academy also recognized his identity as a Japanese chess academy. On October 10, 1982, Cho was promoted to Korea's first nine-dan player, and it was only then that Cho Nam-chul and Kim In were promoted to nine-dan.

In addition to his earliest entry into the dan, Cho Also trained the second youngest chess player in South Korea, Lee Chang-ho, who entered the dan at the age of 11 years and 1 month.

Chang Hao, Yang Dingxin

In 2008, when Yang Ding set a new paragraph, many reports claimed that the record of the youngest entry paragraph was broken, and such rumors are still seen in various self-media articles from time to time. In fact, Yang Dingxin's fixed age was a month later than Chang Hao's.

Blogger @ Zongheng Freedom has a research on this public case: the 1986 promotion stage competition ended on July 9, when 62 people participated in the fixed stage competition, the next 11 rounds, according to Qiu Jihong's recollection, four consecutive rounds can be fixed to participate in the initial stage group competition, and Qiu teacher was ten consecutive wins directly to the second stage. Chang Hao didn't know if it was a four-game winning streak, even if it was around the 9th in the last round, so the fixed period was almost 9 years and 8 months, or less. Yang Dingxin is a fixed date on July 25 and a birthday on October 19, so it is about 9 years old and 9 months more than a week. The youngest was still Chang Hao.

From the perspective of his Go career, Yang Dingxin and Chang Hao also have similarities: the chess style is steady and upright, and he became famous at a young age. Chang Hao scored five titles in the Chess Boy Cup and the Prodigy Cup at the age of 9; Yang Dingxin won the Ricoh Cup on April 7, 2012, setting a record for the youngest national champion. But good things are grinding and big things are late. Chang Hao of Liulianya finally won the Ying Cup in 2005; before winning the LG Cup, Yang Ding's best result in the New World Series was only the top 8 (the previous LG Cup Quarterfinals lost to Yuta Ieyama).

Zhongyi

Nakae was the only chess player to set the stage through the "Special Recommendation for Talents" system, breaking The Record for The Youngest Entry In Japan at the age of 10 years and 0 months. The so-called "special recommendation for talents" system is a test game secretly conducted at the Japan Chess Academy in December 2018, in which Zhang Xu jiudan inspected ZhongyiKu with a chess piece with a 6.5 purpose first upside down, and 7 authoritative players judged and voted according to the content of a game. In addition to Tomoya Hirata's objections, six other chess players, including Yuta Iyama and Xu Jiayuan, unanimously approved that Nakae-eku would officially become a professional chess player on April 1 of the following year.

Zhongyi Ding duan press conference

The talent system has the meaning of being set up for people, and the difficulty naturally cannot be compared with the fixed-stage race between thousands of troops and horses crossing the single wooden bridge. Fortunately, Zhongyi Suga won the female celebrity battle challenge right in just three years, proving his strength. In hindsight, Chairman Kobayashi's dangerous move was indeed a clever move.

Zhongyi's life plan is almost all full in Go, as long as it can become stronger, the Zhongyi family will spare no effort to achieve it. At the age of 3, he began to learn chess with his mother, and at the age of 7, he entered the Han Jong-jin dojo for training, and his family moved to Seoul. In Seoul, Chung Eugyeok wakes up at 5:30 a.m. every day, learns chess for 10 hours a day, and goes to bed at 9 p.m. on time. The 10-year-old Zhongyi Suga, who is already far ahead of her peers, chose to continue to increase her life difficulty value, transferred from kansai headquarters to Tokyo headquarters, challenged stronger opponents, and moved her family to Tokyo in 2021. Now, Nakae-eki has trained with the Research Association of Icari, Fujisawa Rishiro, and Fukuoka Aktaro, and her path of improvement has reached a higher level.

Fujisawa rishi

If Nakagaku is called "the second generation of chess", then Fujisawa's family education is even heavier. Before Nakagisa was born, a series of "youngest" records were set by Fujisawa Rishi. Fujisawa Was accepted as a disciple by her grandfather Hideyuki Fujisawa, and her father Fujisawa also trained a large number of professional chess players, but she learned chess at the Hongqingquan Dojo.

Fujisawa Rishi and Hong Qingquan

When Hong Qingquan had not yet opened a dojo, an old gentleman entrusted him with chinese dishes to teach. According to Hong Qingquan, the degree of hard work of Fujisawa's dishes is no less than that of the later Nakai: Hong Dojo has a day off every Thursday, while Fujisawa's dishes are mandatory every day, from morning to night, and when they go home, they must continue to study the dead and alive problems. Li Cai's fascination with Go is almost crazy, and he doesn't rest even on weekends.

On February 6, 2010, this Fujisawa dish successfully set the stage with a score of 6 wins and 2 defeats, breaking the record of the youngest girl chess player held by Xie Yimin (14 years and 4 months) and the record of the youngest chess player held by Zhao Zhixun (11 years and 9 months).

Zhao Zhixun

Zhao Zhixun during the Kiso dojo period

Cho ji-hoon is the chess player with the largest number of japanese championship titles, and was also the first chess player to set the stage. Although the earliest fixed-section record was broken by Ri-nari Fujisawa and Naka-eun Seol, 11-year-old and 9-month-old Cho Ji-hoon still holds the record for the earliest male player in Japan. South Korea's monthly magazine "Go" records Cho Ji-hoon's fixed story:

In the early days of entering the Kidani Dojo, Cho Ji-hoon was not committed to the chess industry, but preferred to play with two toy guns pinned to his waist as a "cowboy". Mu Gu Shi taught himself to be known for his harshness, but he allowed his favorite youngest disciple to go, and as a result, the "naughty bag" Zhao Zhixun's chess strength has not increased.

Mu Gushi slightly judged that Zhao Zhixun could fix the segment at the age of ten, and then "stocked". That is, "Zhixun's talent is enough to cultivate in the dojo for four years", but this judgment ignores the absolute premise that "genius also needs to work hard". Zhao Zhixun was proud and vain under the care of all kinds, and naturally the "ten-year-old fixed period" failed. Zhao Zhixun suddenly felt the cold eyes around him fall into confusion.

"It's also said 'genius', nothing. It is still ten years old, and whether it can be fixed in the end is also a matter. Zhao Zhixun's ears still blew this kind of mockery. Kobayashi Hikaru is four years old, but he entered the Mugu Gate even later, and kobayashi Hikaru's exam chess under the Mugu Gate is under Zhao Zhixun. Kobayashi Hikari was given the loss of the two sons. Zhao Zhixun later said: I let the two sons kobayashi Hikari take the lead in fixing the section, this taste is worse than death.

Zhao Zhixun stood tall in front of Kobayashi Koichi, "As far as your chess strength is concerned, you can't fix Duan at all!" However, Kobayashi Koichi took the lead in setting the paragraph, and Zhao Zhixun had to call him "Sir" every time he met him.

The following year, Zhao Zhixun finally crossed the professional threshold with the second place in the fixed section competition. Although Zhao Zhixun set a record for the youngest fixed period (11 years and 9 months) in the Japanese Chess Academy at that time, he was one year later than expected. What makes Zhao Zhixun happy is not the record itself, but the need to call Kobayashi Koichi "Mr."

Wei Haoting, Yu Zhengqi

Wei Haoting is the holder of the youngest fixed section record of the Taiwan Chess Academy, and the official entry age is less than 10 years and 3 months. The reason for the emphasis on "formal" entry is that after the taiwan chess academy's professional chess player selection tournament (usually in September), chess players who have obtained professional dan qualifications will not be officially hired until January 1 of the following year, and many discrepancies in the data of Taiwan chess players are derived from this.

Most chess fans may be unfamiliar with the name "Wei Haoting" because he was forced to stay away from Go due to academic pressure. When he was in the second grade of junior high school, because of his further education and living in Chiayi, it was very time-consuming to travel to and from Taipei, and he gradually reduced his exposure to Go. It was not until the university period that he regained his chess pieces and participated in Go competitions in his spare time. In 2019, Wei Haoting was promoted to the third stage of the profession, and it has been 13 years since he was promoted to the second stage of the profession in 2006.

Yu Zhengqi's date at the Kansai Chess Academy is March 2009, but his age record is January 2006. Because he and Cho Hyun Hyun have set the same period twice.

Yu Zhengqi was born on June 19, 1995 in Beitou, Taipei. Yu Zhengqi in the Chong period was also very hardworking, and the training time was about 7 hours a day. In September 2005, he was the first to enter the dan in the professional chess selection competition, and in January 2006, he was appointed as the junior professional of the Taiwan Chess Academy, second only to Wei Haoting, becoming the second youngest chess player in Taiwan. In 2006, Yu Zhengqi went to Chinese mainland for 3 months of intensive training, three sets of intensive training every day, Yu Zhengqi lost up to 18 consecutive sets, and experienced the lowest tide of the state.

In June 2008, Yu Zhengqi was promoted to the second dan. Yu Zhengqi, who had seen the sky outside the sky, did not want to be a frog at the bottom of the well, in order to better learn the chess environment, he went to Japan on March 26, 2009, naturalized in the Kansai Chess Academy, and worshiped under Zhang Luxiang, who was also a chess player in Japan, and the second stage of the profession was also demoted to the first stage.

Ke Jie

In order to include Ke Jie, I deliberately limited the ranking year to less than 11 years old.

The game record list | the youngest fixed-period record for the world's professional chess players

The first section of Ke Jie in 2008

The 2008 stage game gave birth to the "08 golden generation" of Chinese Go, the men's group has 13-year-old Li Xuanhao, 12-year-old Fan Tingyu early stage, 12-year-old Tong Mengcheng ranked 4th, 9 and a half years old Yang Dingxin ranked 5th, and so on. Among them, the most accomplished in the future is Ke Jie, who is at the bottom of the list.

The 2008 National Go Stage Tournament was played on July 11-25 of that year, when Ke Jie was under the age of 11. In the preliminary round, Ke Jie won 6 and lost 2, and in the 13 rounds of this tournament, Ke Jie won 9 and lost 4, ranking 17th in the final points. At that time, the competition stipulated that the men's group should take the top 16 fixed sections, but at the same time there was a new rule that was very favorable to Ke Jie - the final top 12 chess players directly fixed the section, starting from 13 to 20, and then admitted 4 people who were not more than 15 years old (born in 1993) to be awarded the title of junior stage, and if they were all over 15 years old in this ranking, they were not admitted. Ke Jie got the last fixed quota and was lucky enough to cross the career threshold.

At the beginning, due to the low starting point and poor results, Ke Jie's official competition in 2010 was only 45 innings, which was 4 rounds less than the 49 innings in 2021. After the segment was fixed, Ke Jie participated in the selection of the national junior chess team for three consecutive years, ranking second to the bottom in the first year and first to last in the second year, until the third year of successful counterattack and officially selected as the first place.

In 2011, Ke Jie met his Bole Ma Xiaochun and was given the opportunity to play for Mr. Aimo Shandong. Jin Lin is a thing in the pool, and when it encounters the storm, it turns into a dragon, although Ke Jie's debut in the armor ended with a dismal record of 6 wins and 10 losses, and was jokingly called "the poison of the armor" by the opponent, but from then on Ke Jie began his rise. From 2011 to 2015, Ke Jie played more than 4,000 net games under the pseudonym "Lurking", an average of 3.6 games a day, which is the effort from the "crane tail" to the leader behind the person. In early 2015, Ke Jie defeated Qiu Jun 3:2 in the final of the Lark Cup to win his first world title.

epilogue

Among these young chess players are Fujisawa Licai and Zhongyi Suga, who were born into famous families and established their ambitions for Go early; Chang Hao and Yang Dingxin, who were famous early and did not make a sound for three years; Ke Jie, who came to the top and became a dragon with golden scales; Cao Xuanxuan, who crouched in a corner and stunned the world in World War I; there were strong people such as Chen Yaoye, Liu Xing, Peng Quan, and Li Qincheng; and there were also many people who left the winning and losing arena early, or studied to specialize in their studies, or taught chess and educated people, and cultivated talents for the blood of the Go world... These talented chess players, who had high hopes, eventually embarked on their own paths. The hand of creation is like a cloud and rain, what fate timing, what people are no less, are all sighs after the fact, but at that time, they were already confused.
