For example, the shadow puppet Daoqing of Huan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is a national intangible cultural heritage, which entered the United Nations Representative List of Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2011. Over the years, with the encouragement and support of the national heritage protection and cultural promotion policy, shadow puppet sentiments have visited more than a dozen countries and regions as a form of traditional Chinese folk art. However, even so, unless they are insiders or local people in Qingyang, most people still do not know what the Taoist situation is. Even if you know what a shadow puppet is, it is difficult to say a word or two about the shadow puppet. Moreover, local teenage students, who have little interest or even rejection of this art form, are not as easily accepted by them as pop music.
Coincidentally. In Tai'an, Shandong, looking from the highway in the direction of Taishan, you can see the four big characters of "Taishan Shadow Puppet", which is the shadow puppet base of Mr. Fan Zheng'an at the foot of Mount Tai. In September 2016, the Chinese Ministry of Culture held the launching ceremony of the Chinese Heritage Month and the China-Africa Ideological Dialogue Meeting and the Sino-South Africa Heritage Seminar in South Africa, and the members of the delegation included two representatives of non-hereditary inheritors, one was Mr. Gu Liuxi, the representative of the inheritors of Chaozhou wood carving, and the other was Mr. Fan Zheng'an. Mr. Fan Lao's Taishan shadow puppet play is known as "ten not idle", that is, it integrates multiple roles and one person and one play. For example, the performance of "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essences", Tang Monk, Sand Monk, Eight Precepts, Sun Wukong, White Bone Essence and other characters, are all sung by Fan Lao. In the performance, he also needs to integrate blowing, playing, singing, banging gongs and drums, etc., hands and feet and using simultaneous manipulation of 8 instruments and various shadow people, singing and acting while singing, thinking of words in his mind, singing songs in his mouth, dancing in his hands, stepping on the mallet under his feet, harmoniously mobilizing the whole body, and using ten people as a person. What is even more admirable is that all the props and filmmakers used to perform shadow puppetry are personally produced by Mr. Fan Zheng'an... However, according to Mr. Fan Zheng'an, who was 71 years old at the time, his master had accepted 7 apprentices in succession, and only when he finally persevered could this intangible treasure be passed on. Today, despite the strong support of the state and the local cultural department, "Taishan Shadow Puppet" is still in danger of being lost.
In October 2021, the first high-end forum on the contemporary inheritance and dissemination of Chinese Taoist culture was held in Huanxian County, Gansu Province. With the theme of intangible cultural heritage and the continuation of historical context, the conference conducted in-depth discussions on the artistic charm and cultural value of Daoqing, the contemporary inheritance and international dissemination of Daoqing, the inheritance and promotion of red Daoist culture, the folk foundation of Daoqing and the original ecological environment. In the section on contemporary inheritance and international communication of Taoqing, I put forward the problem of comparative vision and the dialectical relationship between inheritance and transmission, and to solve the fatal bottleneck problem in the inheritance process, we must also carry out innovation, for example, to explore the possibility of participating in performances with the help of high-tech artificial intelligence (AI).
