Lightest 27 grams! Silca releases the Chisela series of 3D printed titanium code holders

Following the last time we reported on a black technology tire repair fluid, the highly creative brand Silca has renewed their product line, this time bringing a new 3D printed titanium alloy yardstick - Chisela.

Silca has released a Mensola 3D printed titanium alloy code stand, the latest Chisela series code holder uses the same manufacturing process, but its surface treatment will be smoother than the Mensola series, and it has a quick-release structure for quick and easy disassembly of peripheral brackets.

Silca designed the bottom of the Chisela series to be pneumatic in shape to reduce wind resistance and obtain marginal benefits, which Silca claims will bring pneumatic benefits of 3-6W.

While the stand appears to be tailor-made for Wahoo ROAM, it actually supports both Garmin and Wahoo mounting bases, comes with two M5 titanium screws for direct mounting on the stand, and is equipped with a quick-detachable headlight/action camera stand.

This yard stand can be adapted to almost any conventional handlebar, and there is also a version for adapting the integrated handlebar, according to the rider's own needs to choose the mounting position and angle.

The unique "T-Tray" mounting system, with a T-track under the yard stand, is inspired by the T-type chassis of F1 racing cars. Appearance aside, it can be used to secure a GoPro-style peripheral stand that can be quickly removed via a slide rail and then snapped with a snap to work.

This design makes it easy for riders to remove the device without removing the screws, providing great convenience for devices such as action cameras that require frequent charging.

Silca also thoughtfully designed a fixing screw hole in this quick-release structure, which can not only prevent the equipment from loosening and falling on bumpy roads, but also can be used to fix it for anti-theft or obsessive-compulsive riders.

The chisela series body is made of black Cerakote polymer ceramic composite coating. Cerakote ceramic coatings are uniquely formulated to improve abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, impact strength and hardness, making this yard stand timeless.

Silca claims that the strength of this code frame is 6-12 times that of the aluminum alloy code frame, and although the price is much cheaper than the previous Mensola series, it still reaches 125 US dollars (equivalent to 820 yuan), which is 2-3 times more expensive than the ordinary aluminum alloy code frame.

Chisela has a total of 7 specifications to choose from, according to the style, the weight of this yard frame is between 27-32 grams, has entered the ultra-light ranks, but how much marginal benefits it can bring, it is a matter of opinion.
