IT House reported on April 25 that Gearbox Software added cross-platform online games to Borderlands 3 last year, but Sony's platform did not support the feature at first.
According to GameSpot, Gearbox Software announced at PAX East that full cross-platform online game support, including PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, will arrive sometime in the spring.
IT House understands that in the past, Sony has been rejecting cross-platform access to games such as Fortnite and Rocket League.
However, borderlands 3 spin-offs Tina's Fantasy Lands supported all-platform cross-platform play when it launched in March, which seemed to indicate that Sony was opening up the feature.
