World Book Day
Every year on April 23 is World Book and Copyright Day, also known as World Book Day, which is set up to promote more people to read and write, hoping that everyone can respect and thank the literary, cultural, scientific and ideological masters who have made great contributions to human civilization and protect intellectual property rights. On April 22, Dali New Era Civilization Practice Center, Dali Press and Publication (Copyright) Bureau, Dali Rong Media Center, Xizhou Town No. 1 Middle School, and Cangyi Library Xiyue Bookstore jointly held the "Book Fragrance Dali Reading for All - Dali 2022 'World Book Day' Activity" to further create a social atmosphere of "love reading, more reading, and good books", stimulate the enthusiasm of the masses for reading, and continue to promote the construction of "Book Fragrant Dali", so that the opening of books will become the new normal and new fashion of society.
After the valley rain festival, Dali already has the charm of summer. In the afternoon, Xizhou Ancient Town is particularly quiet, and the sun shines through the big green trees, leaving a mottle on the antique Bai buildings of the Cangyi Library Xiyue Bookstore. The bookstore is full of books, and a grand event about reading is underway.
The most important thing is that the fragrance of books can go far, and there is poetry and bookishness in the belly. The first to share was Yang Zhi, the principal of Xizhou Town No. 1 Middle School, who shared the good book "Ethereal". Yang Zhao, a middle school student in Xizhou Town, recited the passages, bringing everyone to a beautiful world full of poetry.
Subsequently, Yang Chao, Yang Zihao, Yang Cuilian, Yang Ping, Zeng Yang Xinquan, Zhang Lei, Zhao Yuanwang, Li Qian, Su Qinglan, and Duan Zhuoyan, teachers and students of Xizhou Town No. 1 Middle School, shared and recited "Haizi's Poems", "Black Beauty", "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", and "Insects". Teachers and students reading the same book on the same stage also made this activity meaningful.

The second chapter of the event is "History and Life", And Chen Chaohuan, host of Dali Rong Media Center, shared the "History of Xizhou Township", leading everyone through the vicissitudes of history and feeling the deep and charming background of Xizhou Ancient Town.
Subsequently, Lu Hao, vice president of the Xizhou Branch of Dali Rural Commercial Bank, and Li Rui, a comprehensive teller, shared the poem "We"; Su Ruyan, a medical worker at Dali Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, shared Lin Qingxuan's essay "Lily Blossoms on the Heart Field"; Wang Yang, host of Dali Rong Media Center, recited "Dialogue with Xizhou Ancient Town"; He Yanxia, a police officer of Dali City Public Security Bureau, shared the writer Qiu Chaocheng's "Life Train"; and Zhang Yuxuan, deputy director of the Xizhou Town Rural Revitalization Office and vice chairman of the Dali Speech and Recitation Association, recited "Facing the Sea, Spring and Warm Flowers".
Classic books and touching sharing convey the power of reading. The sharing guests interpreted the connotation of these works with sincere and full of emotions and deep devotion, and presented a reading feast for everyone, so that everyone was deeply educated and inspired, deeply baptized and sublimated.
At the end of the activity, Xizhou Center primary school students Li Zhengzhen, Yang Xue, Ma Zixuan, Weng Yuqing, Duan Shiyuan and Yu Ke recited "The Rising Sun". The children's sincere and childish voices drew a beautiful footnote for the activity.
"The only thing that lives is good is to read." Holding a book in your hand is holding hope; reading a book is opening a window to the world.
