Therefore, it is very likely that the Canadian side will rush to explain its just retired from the army in order to get rid of its involvement, because in this way, even if Cadieu is captured, he is only a "former army commander", which has nothing to do with Canadian officials, and cannot become evidence of direct NATO intervention. But if it is not officially instructed, how can a retired commander be exposed to fighting in Ukraine? Judging by his resume and age, Cardieu definitely did not participate in his personal capacity, but held command duties, but the Ukrainian army was not a fool, how could it allow retired commanders to lead troops?
Therefore, the Canadian side said that Cadieu had retired, obviously just to get rid of the interference, thinking that the Ukrainian army had twice broken into Mariupol to rescue, perhaps the former army commander who really wanted to rescue.
