Today, on World Book Day, in recent years, with the proposal and establishment of cultural self-confidence, comic strips have gradually returned to the vision of readers, especially young readers, and have gradually become a new model of family parent-child reading in the practice and exploration of year by year.
In order to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of comic strips in the whole society, since 2018, with the joint efforts of libraries, schools and caring people in various places, Huizhou, Dongguan, Heyuan and other places have successively carried out the "Classic Forever" comic book parent-child reading series of public welfare activities to cultivate young people's cultural self-confidence and patriotic enthusiasm, with the content of "Five Ones" (a comic book exhibition, a comic book lesson, reading a comic strip, drawing a comic strip, and donating a comic strip). Attracting a large number of young people to learn about comic strips, read comic strips, and inherit comic strips, the event has been held more than 30 times in a row so far.
In 2021, Huizhou Zhongkai High-tech Zone organically combined red story comic strips with party history study and education, with teenagers as the main body, and carried out nearly 20 comic strip theme exhibition publicity activities with the theme of "red stories in comic strips" in various squares, schools and communities in the district, with the activities taking the century-old party history as the timeline, and setting up several themes such as "red", "heroes", "long march road", "war", "passionate years" and so on.
In Zhongkai No. 2 Primary School, in addition to more than 500 original red-themed comic strips on display, a total of 14 original manuscripts of two groups of red-themed comic strips, "Shubian Loving the People's True Heroes" and "Mass Discipline Cannot Be Violated", were exhibited for the first time. They were created in the 1980s and are original manuscripts drawn by the creators of comic strips, which are extremely precious.
At Zhongkai No. 6 Primary School, many teenagers visited the comic strip exhibition attentively, and everyone exchanged their experiences while flipping through the red comic strips with their own hands. At the same time, the activity will also combine the comic book exhibition and the people's propaganda activities, the members of the district people's propaganda team told everyone the story of "Little Soldier Zhang Ga" at the scene, the sound story and the silent comic strip combined, hearing and vision are integrated, which further enhances the students' learning and understanding, so that the students have thoughts, feelings, and understandings, which has triggered a strong emotional resonance.
In order to promote the comic strip parent-child reading brand activities to go deeper, to the real and to the heart, at the end of 2021, Huizhou's first "Chinese traditional comic book reading space" with the theme of traditional comic strips was established in Huizhou-Dongjiang Middle East River School in Dongjiang Science and Technology Park, Zhongkai High-tech Zone. The District Education, Culture and Health Office and the District Women's Federation upgraded the reading space into a district-level "parent-child reading base" and a "new era civilization practice point of Huizhou-Dongdongjiang School" in order to enhance the actual effect and play a leading role.
Since the establishment of the reading space, Huizhou Middle East River School has used the "parent-child reading base" as a platform to integrate school and community resources and carry out colorful family parent-child reading activities on a regular basis. With the model of "position construction + service leadership", we will promote the platform construction of parent-child reading, and parent-school cooperation will cultivate children's interest in reading, promote children's all-round growth, and create a good family parent-child reading atmosphere. At the same time, combined with the ideological and moral construction of minors, the creation of civilization and the practice of civilization will be combined to create a brand of civilization practice in the new era with zhongkai characteristics.
