Xinhua All Media + | "Light up dreams with spaceflight": written on the occasion of the seventh "China Space Day"

"Zhu Rong" explores the fire, "Xi He" day by day, "Tianhe" travels the stars... Leaps and bounds are constantly refreshing the new heights of China's aerospace.

Exploring the vast universe, developing the space industry, and building a space power are the space dreams that we unremittingly pursue. April 24 is the "China Space Day", on the occasion of the seventh "China Space Day", the blueprint of China's space flight has been drawn, the wind is full, and it has embarked on a new journey again.

New progress has been made in dreaming of space

"Zhu Rong" probed the fire, leaving its own imprint on the distant Mars; "XiHe" achieved a breakthrough in China's solar exploration day by day; "Tianhe" traveled to the stars and expanded the homeland to the vast starry sky; Shenzhou 12th and 13th successfully completed their flight missions. In the past year, China's aerospace industry has made new progress in pursuing its dream of space.

In the field of deep space exploration: the lunar exploration project "orbit, fall, return" was successfully concluded, Chang'e 5 brought back 1731 grams of lunar soil; Tianwen-1 achieved the leap of China's aerospace from the Earth-Moon system to interplanetary exploration, leaving a Chinese imprint on Mars for the first time.

In the field of manned spaceflight: Since 2020, the mainland has successfully implemented the first flight of the Long March 5B carrier rocket, the space station Tianhe core module, the Shenzhou XII and Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft, the Tianzhou 2 and Tianzhou 3 cargo spacecraft a total of 6 missions, successfully completing the mission objectives of the key technology verification stage.

In rural and remote areas, communication satellites have opened live television for more than 140 million households, providing services such as distance education, telemedicine, and rural e-commerce; in the fields of mass travel, smart logistics, ocean transportation, precision agriculture, etc., the Beidou system is widely used to provide accurate positioning and navigation for material transportation and personnel flow; in the face of diversified needs, remote sensing satellite images have been distributed more than 100 million views.

"At present, there are more than 500 satellites of various types working in orbit on the mainland, and aerospace technology and services are deeply integrated into economic and social development, playing an important role in supporting the construction of safe China, healthy China, beautiful China and digital China." Wu Yanhua, deputy director of the China National Space Administration, said.

Space stations, asteroid exploration... China's aerospace industry continues to expand its new journey

In 2022, China's aerospace is still "busy". The Chinese space station will complete the on-orbit construction task; the fourth phase of the lunar exploration project and the major mission of asteroid exploration have officially started the development of the project, and China's space interplanetary exploration has continuously expanded its new journey. In the future, chang'e-6, Chang'e-7 and Chang'e-8 probes will be launched successively to carry out mission-critical technology research and the construction of international lunar research stations. Among them, Chang'e 6 plans to sample the far side of the moon and is demonstrating the construction of a constellation of communication and navigation satellites around the moon.

Hao Chun, director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, said that this year will complete the construction of the Chinese space station in orbit, and six missions are planned: the Launch of the Tianzhou-4 Cargo Spacecraft in May; the launch of the Shenzhou-14 Manned Spacecraft in June, and the Crew of the Shenzhou-14 Manned Spacecraft is also composed of three astronauts who will stay in orbit for 6 months; launch the Space Station Wentian Experimental Module in July; and launch the Space Station Dream experiment module in October. The three modules of the space station will form the basic configuration of the "T" shape, completing the on-orbit construction of the Chinese space station. This will be followed by the launch of the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft and the Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft.

From scratch and self-reliance, the mainland space industry has gradually mastered the ability to enter space, but there is still a gap compared with the world's space powers.

Qi Faxuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the first chief designer of the Shenzhou spacecraft, believes that to become a space power, it is necessary to develop synchronously and in a balanced manner in the three major fields of "space technology, space science, and space applications."

Let the seeds of the space dream take root and sprout

A star dream for sixty years, all the way to the song. On the occasion of "China Space Day", a song of "Dongfang Hong", which was rearranged and produced by artificial intelligence technology, made a new appearance. The music uses 30 minutes of space audio materials, including rocket launch sounds, Zhu Rong Mars rover spacewalk sound effects, astronauts playing gourd wire in space, playing guzheng sound effects, space features unique.

"Aerospace technology has directly led to the development of materials, electronics, machinery, chemicals and other technologies." Qi Faxuan said that aerospace technology has long entered all aspects of our lives, and the changes brought about are everywhere.

Lu Bo, deputy director of the Department of Systems Engineering of the China National Space Administration, introduced that on the occasion of this year's "China Space Day", more than 200 activities such as aerospace open days, science popularization lectures, knowledge competitions, and relevant exchanges and seminars have been held. Relevant aerospace exhibition halls and aerospace facilities are open to the public and college, middle and primary school students; a group of academicians and experts have entered the campus to give science popularization to young people; a number of aerospace science tv programs or online science popularization lectures have been broadcast one after another... The seeds of the space dream further take root and sprout.

A period of unknown past events record the inheritance of the spirit of spaceflight. The Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Group compiled and published a monograph, recording the stories of 12 model commanders and chief designers, vividly interpreting the character and strength of astronauts who "do earth-shattering things and bury celebrities in anonymity".

Zhang Kejian, director of the China National Space Administration, said that this year's "China Space Day" takes "space to light up dreams" as the theme, that is, to carry forward the spirit of spaceflight, spread space knowledge, encourage astronauts to work hard, do not slacken their efforts, and relay the dream road of building a space power; and inspire young people to advocate science, explore the unknown, establish ideals, and achieve their dreams in running.
