The above report pointed out that Samsung Motor is participating in the research and development project of M2 chip, the two sides have cooperation experience as early as 2020, Apple's first generation of self-developed processor chip M1, using FCBGA produced by Samsung Motor. Apple's other FCBGA suppliers include Japan's Ibiden and Taiwan's Shin Hing Electronics.

Apple products currently using the M1 chip include the 13-inch MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro, the fifth-generation iPad Air, Mac mini, and 24-inch iMac.
