In the South China Sea, this joy of reading is within reach. In 2013, Nanhai began to build a reading station, and is committed to building a "library at the doorstep". After nearly ten years of construction, the district has built 190 reading stations, all over the town streets and villages, including a number of reading stations with distinct themes, rich connotations and unique characteristics, which have become popular Internet celebrity punching points.

First winner of the If International Design Award in Germany
Located in Guicheng Financial City Square, financial city reading station integrates jade culture, refers to stones with rusty metal, and refers to transparent jade with semi-transparent glass in the center, forming an overall feeling like baoyu being wrapped in stone. At the same time, the front wall of the building is engraved with various individual stroke elements, symbolizing the content of reading and knowledge; the internal space considers various types of reading methods, using glass vaults and wooden steps, simple atmosphere, lighting and transparency, and integration of fashion elements. Since it was put into operation in 2019, it has become a good place for resident citizens to work and relax after work and life, such as surrounding office buildings, residential areas and commercial streets.
On April 11, the list of winners of the world famous design award iF was officially announced, and the Financial City Reading Station successfully won the 2022 German IF International Design Award.
2. Guicheng Riverside Park Reading Station:
"Sports + Reading" creates a 270-degree bright reading space
Guicheng Binjiang Park Reading Station was officially opened on March 4, 2022, located in Binjiang Park, Guicheng Street, Nanhai District, covering an area of 151 square meters (25 square meters of library area), with reading leisure area and book collection area, 40 reading seats, 2500 books, 3000 electronic books. "High value", "intelligent" and "connotation" are its internet celebrity labels, and "sports + reading" is its website building feature.
The exterior design of the reading station fits the theme of Binjiang Park, and the steel frame structure and large floor-to-ceiling glass create a bright reading space with a 270-degree view, and you can admire the beautiful Foshan waterway outside the station. In line with the sports theme of Binjiang Park, the station has carefully selected a large number of sports books for readers to borrow, and the innovative acrylic translucent bookshelves in the station also bring readers a new reading experience.
3. Guicheng Sanshan Forest Park Reading Station:
The highest reading station at the highest altitude
Guicheng Sanshan Forest Park Reading Station is the highest reading station in Nanhai District, located in Sanmingtai on the top of Sanshan Forest Park, and officially passed the acceptance and put into operation on March 25, 2021.
One hit, two singing and chang, three singing dragon leaping nine clouds, reading station combined with the construction concept of sanmingtai, the characteristics of the forest park into the overall design, simple and stylish, spacious and bright. The completion and use of the Guicheng Sanshan Forest Park Reading Station has added a rare book fragrance and ink rhyme to the Sanshan Forest Park, and readers pick up the books in the station and enjoy a comfortable book time in the green mountains.
4. Guicheng Cuiyi Community Reading Station:
Children's activities enter the community Party and mass service main position
Guicheng Cuiyi Community Reading Station was relocated and upgraded from the original "Guicheng Yicui Garden Station", covering an area of 134 square meters and a collection of about 7,000 books, which is a new ideal place to carry out party history education in combination with the community party and mass service position.
The reading station is decorated with modern and elegant decoration, with a leisure and comfortable personality setting, which meets the development requirements of the reading station to upgrade the quality service. The functional layout integrates the book collection area, reading area, children's area and activity area, and the specially set up red reading counter attracts many party members to study here, and the children's table and chair decoration has become the favorite of children.
Due to its good site advantages, the station has become the activity position of the Nanhai District Library "Under the Osmanthus Tree" children's activities into the community.
5. Guicheng Huide Reading Station:
Governments and enterprises jointly build a "network interconnection and smart life" reading space
Guicheng Huide Reading Station was upgraded and relocated from the original Guicheng Administrative Service Center Reading Station, and was jointly built by the Foshan Nanhai Branch of Guangdong Radio and Television Network with nanhai Library and Guicheng Street Office, which is a vivid embodiment of the Nanhai District Committee, Guicheng Street Cultural Department and large state-owned enterprises jointly building a "cultural strong district" and "cultural Guicheng".
The reading station covers an area of more than 60 square meters, with a collection of 3,000 books and 3,000 electronic books, and the overall design is based on the theme of network interconnection and smart life, and integrates the characteristics of Dade culture. The museum is equipped with intelligent security to provide comprehensive protection, equipped with intelligent butlers to achieve convenient reading, gigabit optical fiber, ultra-high-definition film and television to bring a new technology experience.
6. Guicheng Nantu Reading Station:
The oldest qualification has the largest collection of books and the largest circulation
Guicheng Nantu Reading Station is one of the oldest qualified, largest collection of books and the largest circulation in Nanhai District. After the upgrading in 2017, the overall design is full of modernity, up to 50 people can sit, and about 6,000 paper books and 3,000 electronic books are selected to meet the diversified reading needs of the urban masses. The clever layout of the staircase not only creates a more three-dimensional and open sense of space, but can also be used to hold a variety of small reading salons and parent-child reading activities.
Since opening up to the outside world, with its superior geographical location and comfortable and elegant reading environment, it has achieved remarkable service effects, and a large number of "Examination and Research Party" and "Examination Andogong Party" have chosen to study here. The upgrading of Nantu Station has established a replicable model for the construction of reading stations in the whole district, and promoted the development of reading stations in the South China Sea from popularization to boutique and flagship.
7. Guicheng Pingzhou Cultural Center Reading Station:
Create a "cultural granary" around the masses
Guicheng Pingzhou Cultural Center Station is located on the first floor of the south wing of Pingzhou Cultural Center, covering an area of 260 square meters, equipped with more than 50 reading seats, all-wood bookshelves with unique style, unique lighting design showing urban charm, special barrier-free facilities to highlight humanistic care, the small stage in the station can better meet the needs of regular activities, and become the activity position of the Nanhai District Library "Under the Osmanthus Tree" children's activities into the community.
The station complements the functions of the Guicheng Street Branch of the Nanhai District Library and cultural venues, becomes a supporting facility for regional cultural activities, provides convenient public library services for surrounding government units, community residents, shopping malls and schools, and becomes a "cultural granary" around the masses.
8. Cheonan Cyber City Reading Station:

Located in the lobby of Block A of the second phase of Tian'an Cyber City, Cheonan Cyber City Reading Station is equipped with the most advanced electronic equipment of the current reading station in the district, such as e-book "waterfall flow", ink screen reading (self-service borrowing and returning) system, electronic calligraphy desk, access control system with face recognition function and self-service borrowing and returning machine, high-sensitivity security access control (now the domestic advanced security access control system), and audio electronic book system and other intelligent reading equipment, so that readers can fully enjoy the multi-style and convenient reading experience brought by intelligent technology.

10. Jiujiang Haishou Island Reading Station:

Jiujiang Haishou Island Reading Station is located in Haishou Island, known as the bright pearl of the Xijiang River, the scope of services radiates throughout the island, is the first reading station located on the island in the whole region, providing high-quality cultural services for the majority of tourists and island residents, and gradually becoming a cultural business card displayed by the South China Sea District.
The reading station was built in 2018 with a collection of 5500 books. The station is equipped with self-service borrowing and returning machines, electronic reading machines, and two-way emergency call systems to achieve 24-hour surveillance and video recording. The exterior is full of birds and flowers, the interior is retro and elegant, nestled on a comfortable sofa, and a book is a good afternoon.
11. Jiujiang Wujia Courtyard Reading Station:

Jiujiang Wujia Courtyard Reading Station is located in Jiujiang Qiao Xiang Museum, the service efficiency has always ranked first in Jiujiang, and it is the flagship museum in Jiujiang Reading Station. 12. Xiqiao Guanxin Town Reading Station:

Xiqiao Guanxin Town Reading Station was set up in the core location of Guanxin Town, and in 2020, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism promoted the construction of a "Cantonese Book Bar" pilot for the innovative integration of culture and tourism, and the station became the only pilot in Nanhai District to approve the construction. Its main building is built of steel structure, with large glass as the wall on all four sides, with a bright and stylish Tiffany blue main color, the industrial style design is simple and fashionable and close to the characteristics of the local industry. According to the architectural space conditions, the reading station is cleverly arranged in the functional partitions of the first and second floors, and is accompanied by courtyard-style outdoor leisure space.
Since its opening, the reading station has received great attention and attracted a large number of readers to "punch in".
17. Dali Dazhen Community Reading Station:

19. Dali Lidong Community Reading Station:
Culture benefits the people to help "rural revitalization"
Dali Lidong Community Reading Station was put into operation on September 25, 2017 through acceptance and was widely praised by local residents. In order to meet the high reading demand of the local people, the Lidong community applied for the upgrading of the reading station in May 2020.
With the theme of "rural revitalization", the comprehensively upgraded reading station has expanded to 160 square meters, and the overall decoration is warm and childlike. Lishui Dabu Library is a demonstration point for the construction of a reading station in Lishui Town. Built in 1986, Dabu Library has a profound historical and cultural heritage. In 2021, Dabu Library will be upgraded and transformed by integrating the theme of rural revitalization to achieve beautiful butterfly transformation.
The newly built Dabu Library has a total construction area of 313 square meters, a construction investment of more than 1.5 million yuan, a collection of more than 5,500 books, and as far as possible to protect and restore the original plaques, merit books, wall paintings and other architectural elements rich in the humanistic spirit of Dabu. Lishuihe Village Community Reading Station passed the acceptance and put into operation service in October 2016, and is the first reading station upgraded by the rural bookstore, with a construction area of about 150 square meters, 20 reading seats, and a collection of 4500 books. The station is equipped with self-service borrowing and returning machines, electronic reading machines, and two-way emergency call systems to achieve 24-hour surveillance and video recording.
The unique design of the combination of bookshelves and reading seats in the reading station greatly facilitates the elderly and children in the community to access newspapers and picture books. The unique small stage design leaves plenty of room for reading activities.
