Alfa Romeo's new SUV Tonale is Alfa Romeo's second SUV, positioned as a compact SUV with a plug-in hybrid system, and is expected to be officially delivered in overseas markets in June.
In terms of appearance, the new headlights adopt a personalized daytime running light shape, the three-stage wavy design is very attractive, with the chrome decoration of the family-style inverted triangle grille, it looks quite sporty; the design of the front surround and air intake is also very sharp.
From the side of the body, the roof line of the new car is smoother, the front and rear fenders are more prominent, and the wheel rim adopts the classic five-hole design and another new "Y" five-spoke style, which makes the overall feeling more dynamic. In the rear part of the car, the taillights of the new car are similar to the headlights design style, and are equipped with a small roof spoiler to improve the recognition of the new car, while still using a hidden exhaust layout.
In terms of interior, the new car continues the design of the Alpha Romeo family, first of all, the full LCD dashboard will not be absent, and with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel; the central control multimedia display adopts a suspension design, and the following also retains some physical buttons and driving mode selection knobs, the gear design is more traditional, and the overall collocation looks full of technology.
Tonale will offer conventional diesel gasoline as well as light hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The hybrid version uses a hybrid VTG (variable turbine geometry) engine. Equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger and a 7-speed TCT dual-clutch transmission, built-in 48 volts 15KW, 55 Nm "P2" electric motor, can be started and driven in electric mode at low speed, parking or cruising state, greatly improving the efficiency of vehicle use.
Tonale's plug-in hybrid version uses a motor with a maximum power of 90 kW, which is powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 15.5 kWh. The plug-in hybrid model has a maximum power of 275 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. The new car has a range of 80 kilometers in pure electric mode, and when using a 7.4kW charger, it takes only 2.5 hours for a battery charge. In addition, the fuel tank capacity of the car is 42.5 liters. The new car will also offer a four-wheel drive system, in addition to the new "Advanced Driver Assistance System" (ADAS), which can reach the L2 level.
