Guy outperformed Tesla in 77 hours, perhaps with no proof of anything

For the great pantheon of quirky stunts that may not prove anything, plus this: ultramarathonist Robbie Balenger surpassed the Tesla Model 3 and was 100 feet longer than the Tesla Model 3.

Wait, what?

In the past, they had events with horses to see which could last longer than the one. They still have those people in Scotland, where they obviously take pub talk seriously.

Today, men's sportswear brand Wan has something similar in its "Feats of Strength" collection. These include: most pull-ups in 24 hours (7800), carrying 45 pounds of rock five miles underwater (apparently, you swim to the surface to breathe), carrying two 62-pound water tanks down the Grand Canyon, and completing the maximum number of laps around the Manhattan Runner's Central Park Loop in just over 18 hours (the old record was 11 loops, just 67 miles). more than 14 hours).

The latter record was broken by Balenger in 16 loops at 18:07:44, covering a total of 100 miles. Balenger also completed a 63-day, 1,200-mile Colorado Smash walking race and ran all over the United States in 75 days.

So it may not be easy, but it does — at least for Barrengues. This event was not a confrontation between man and horse, but man and horsepower, or rather, kilowatts. The horse here is a Tesla Model 3 electric car. What makes the Tesla Model 3 a valuable adversary?

"Tesla is the most disruptive and exciting thing that has happened in terms of transportation since the first horse was broken," Balenger said. "So, what better opponent is there for modern people and horse racing?"

Actually, what?

So Balenger and Tesla started at the same starting point 250 miles outside of Austin, Texas, and started at the same time. The Tesla then traveled at a median speed of 65 mph for the duration of a full charge, eventually reaching 242 miles and setting the Race Distance for Balenger. Balenger followed exactly the same route as Tesla, but walked, despite the temperature in the 90s, was able to beat Tesla's 242-mile distance at a full 100 feet in 76:54:46 hours.

Wait, 76 hours 54 minutes? He ran for three days?

"That's right," his publicist said. "He ran for three days in a row, stopping only occasionally to sleep, eat, brush his teeth, change clothes, etc.

Of the nearly 77 hours, only 8.5 hours were without running — "Sleeping here for 30 minutes and resting there for 40 minutes," the publicist said.

"During that time, the clock never stopped. (Near) 77 hours covered the entire event – running and stopping – from Robbie's start of the race to his arrival at the finish line.

So you have it, in the battle between man and horse, now man wins Tesla, man wins.

Now, if we can open the door to the studio...
