The opening of gigafactories in Berlin and Texas has added to Tesla's production capacity
On March 22, 2022, Tesla Berlin Gigafactory officially started construction, which is the first Tesla Gigafactory in Europe, and the first 30 new cars were delivered on the same day. The Berlin Gigafactory, located in Greenhead, on the outskirts of Berlin, covers an area of 227,000 square meters and costs 5 billion euros. The first phase of the project is expected to produce 500,000 units a year, which will solve 12,000 jobs. Then, on April 8, Tesla held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Texas Gigafactory. Since then, Tesla has officially owned six gigafactories spanning three continents. The inaugural Texas Gigafactory will be the world's largest auto plant, covering an area of more than 12,000 acres. In terms of factory facilities, the Texas Gigafactory, as Tesla's product, is the latest iteration of the "machine that makes machines" and has the world's largest die casting machine. In terms of factory layout, the all-in-one compact layout allows the various workshops to be tightly connected, just like the chip design, which greatly improves transportation and production efficiency. In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations and industry standards on data security, combined with the requirements of the annual report template and the actual situation of the Internet of Vehicles industry, the expert group formulated relevant review rules and carried out the review work. Relevant experts said that in this review, the materials submitted by Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. are complete, the catalog is clear, the content is substantial, and the overall annual report quality is better.
