Pico Neo 3 P with Ultralaeap Hand Tracking Kit

Tactile simulation technology manufacturer Ultraleap has released a new hand tracking accessory for the Pico Neo 3 Pro and Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye, and aims to provide enterprises with "world-class natural interactions". The Neo 3 Pro kit, which features the Ultraraeap Hand Tracking Kit, will be available this summer, including a headset body, Ultraleap's Stereo IR 170 tracker, and a custom stand pre-installed with Ultraraeap software.

Pico, a China-based startup, launched its first standalone VR headset, Pico Goblin, a year before Oculus Go, and was acquired by Chinese tech giant ByteDance last year. Pico launched the Neo 3 Pro and Neo 3 Pro Eye in Western markets last year, which are currently only marketed to the enterprise market and lack hand tracking capabilities.

Pico said: "We are very excited to bring the Ultraraeap hand tracking feature to our latest VR headset with this accessory. Ultraleap's hand tracking capabilities are truly world-class. ”

It is understood that the set, which costs 999 euros in Europe, will be sold on Bestware and VRExpert platforms in the future, while the United States will be sold on Mace Virtual Labs. Theoretically, existing Pico Neo 3 Pro users can also purchase the Ultralaeap tracker directly, but this does not include installation accessories and software licenses.

It's worth mentioning that developers, evaluators, and proof-of-concepts now have access to an Early Access version of the Ultralaeap Hand Tracking Accessory, but Ultraleap says this is not suitable for scalable deployments because the tracker currently lacks the EEA CE regulatory flag.
