RendeverFit, a VR fitness platform for the elderly, has been released worldwide

RendeverFit, a VR app that first opened for pre-order in September 2021, blends the physical and cognitive health of seniors while also promoting social interaction. Designed to engage residents of older living communities with physical activity and fun, and to help improve mental health and emotional, psychological and cognitive functioning in older adults.

"When we started exploring the fitness space, we found that older adults didn't have access to products that met their mobility needs, and those products didn't inspire them to engage and exercise." Kyle Rand, co-founder and CEO of Rendever, said, "Studies have shown that physical activity in older adults can delay the onset of dementia and also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke and diabetes. By partnering with the aged living community and hospice providers, seniors who can't walk or bike now have another social experience that keeps them energized and smiling. ”

RendeverFit offers three modules within the platform: cycling, paddling, and painting, and since each module contains interactive mobile games, Rendever chose Pico Interactive's Neo 3 Pro as its preferred hardware. The Neo 3 Pro headset offers greater accuracy through its 6DoF tracking, lightweight device with an ergonomic counterweight design, which Rendever says is ideal for seniors.

Leland Hedges, General Manager of Europe at Pico Interactive, said: "With the Neo 3 Pro headset for enterprises, we will continue to develop new features to support our wide range of platforms. We are developing hand tracking capabilities that will give users more control over their hand movements, providing users with a better virtual reality experience, Rendever will be one of the first companies to use hand tracking on its platform, and it's great to see it helping seniors maintain an active lifestyle. ”
