Shou Jianguo, general manager of China Mobile's market operation department, introduced that 5G new calls are a new generation of call products launched based on the 5G network environment.
Compared with the traditional calls in the 2G/3G/4G network environment, the new 5G calls are "faster, clearer, smarter and wider". China Mobile, together with Huawei, iFLYTEK and other partners, has innovated new call services, and piloted 5G new call services such as barrier-free intelligent communication, visual menus, and remote assistance, making calls more intelligent, visual and interactive, breaking the boundaries of communication, improving the efficiency of communication, and continuously upgrading the user call experience.
Compared with the voice and video calls of the Internet, the new 5G calls are "more stable and more convenient", the stability lies in the stable call quality, and the telephone inbound is not interrupted; the convenience lies in the native mobile phone terminal, the dial pad can dial video calls, no need to download APP and mini programs, no need to add friends.

Based on China Mobile's excellent 5G network, 5G ultra-high definition video calls have the four advantages of ultra-low latency, ultra-clear picture quality, no traffic, and one-click video, and can easily open high-definition video calls for both young and old.
In terms of tariffs, from May 1, the number of voice minutes in China Mobile's 5G package will be upgraded to minutes that can be used for new 5G calls, which can be used for 5G HD video calls. During the trial commercial period before May 1, new 5G calls will be billed per call minute.
After the short message is upgraded to "5G message", the voice call is also upgraded to the "5G new call", and these two of the three basic telecom services of traditional telecom will be provided by another basic telecom service (landing on the Internet) in the 5G era. At present, the three major telecom operators have put "5G messages" and "5G new calls" in the position of upgrading and replacing traditional service functions, which are more powerful, but the tariffs are unchanged, and they still charge on time or number of bars, and do not charge traffic fees, which is conducive to the smooth transition of traditional basic telecommunications services.
