Nissan unveiled a prototype of a solid-state battery production facility at its Yokohama plant.

It also announced the establishment of an all-solid-state battery trial production line in 2024.

Nissan Motor plans to launch an electric model equipped with Nissan's original all-solid-state battery (ASSB) by fiscal year 2028, and plans to build a pilot plant in Yokohama, Japan, in fiscal 2024, to continuously study the pilot production in terms of materials, design and manufacturing processes.
