For hundreds of years, the years have eroded, the wind and the sun have blown, and the Jinghai Monument has been covered with moss, and some of the handwriting is blurred and difficult to read. Jiuxian Mountain is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, and each inscription contains a past event, which is a first-hand historical material and has a very high historical value.
In order to further excavate history and protect cultural relics, on March 31, the Tongling Cultural Promotion Association organized literary and historical figures Liu Changguo and Liu Wensheng to carry out protective cleaning and red painting of the Jinghai Monument. They used bamboo ladders and iron frames to climb high and low, remove vines, carefully remove dust and dirt, clean the rock walls, and then depict red paint in large characters and green paint in small characters. After three days of hard work, the cleaning and red depiction of the stone carvings of the "Jinghai Monument" was completed, and the Jinghai Monument of the Nine Immortals Mountain reappeared in a new shape. Over the past few years, Mr. Liu Changguo and Liu Wensheng have accumulated a lot of experience in cleaning up and depicting red stone carvings, and have successively completed the cleaning and red depiction of many cliff stone carvings and inscriptions such as Gushan Mountain, Jiuxian Mountain and Dongshan Anti-Japanese War Dedication Monument, Dongshan Anti-Japanese War Martyrs Cemetery, And Mingde Palace.
The height of the "Jinghai Stele", the font, ranking, word count, and word diameter of the inscription have been recorded in detail in Chen Liqun and Wang Junyan's book "Stone Carvings of The Dynasties of Dongshan". The inscription is in block letters, 5 lines straight, the first two words of "Daming" are arranged horizontally, and the full text is 108 words. The monument is 3 meters high and 1.2 meters wide. The diameter of the two characters of "Daming" is 12 centimeters, and the large characters of the vertical book in the middle are 27 centimeters high and 23.5 centimeters wide, and the diameter of the small characters on the left and right sides of the vertical book is 9 centimeters.
