Last September, Nvidia's "Nvidia GeForce Now" game streaming service game listings were leaked. Netizens were surprised to find that it contained a large number of games that had never been released on PC. At the time, no one knew whether the list was true or not, and those unreleased games were inside information? Or is it just a placeholder?
But now there is growing evidence that a large part of the leaked list is true. As SE officially confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 is in development, netizens turned their attention back to the leaked list.
"GeForce Now" allows players to stream games to mobile phones, tablets, and PCs. The service launched in 2020 and is constantly adding support for new games. Unlike other streaming services, GeForce Now doesn't include any games, it only helps players stream games they already have on services like Steam and Epic.
On September 12, 2021, a developer, Ighor July, shared a post on Medium about a list of games he stumbled upon in May for thousands of GeForce Now. The leak contained dozens of unpublished or unplashes to the PC.
Nvidia responded by denying that any new games were included in the leak: "NVIDIA is aware that a list of unauthorized published games, including published and/or speculative games, is for internal tracking and testing only." Inclusion in the list is neither a confirmation nor an announcement of any game. NVIDIA immediately took action and removed access to the list. No confidential game versions or personal information were disclosed. ”
The leaked list contains basically four types of undeclared games: PC, remastered, new sequels, and unnamed items.
The most striking of the first category is God of War 4. In October, Sony confirmed that the 2018 PS4 exclusive game will land on PC in early 2022. Since Sony had already brought its exclusive games " No More " and "Horizon: Dawn of Zero" to the PC, the follow-up of God of War 4 was not unexpected. The accuracy of the leak cannot be proven.
Then in February, the leak list got the biggest boost. SE really released the "Wheel of Time 2 HD Edition" on the leaked list. Then the final fantasy: strategy remake and the Royal Knights remake on the list also become highly likely. (The latter recently registered its trademark under the name Royal Knights: Rebirth).)
Some sequels on the leak list have also been confirmed. Crytek released Crytek's Crysis 4 on its list in January. Capcom released Street Fighter 6 on the list in February. SE announced Kingdom Hearts 4 during the previous two days of live broadcasts.
In addition, the leaked list contained an entry for "Untitled Respawn Game". Earlier this year, Respawn confirmed that it was working on three titles, including Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order 2.
As more and more of the works on the leaked list are confirmed, it seems that we can expect to look forward to the highly anticipated entries on the list, such as "Half-Life 2 Remake", "Titanfall 3", "Hell Stalker 2" and so on.
