On April 10, NIO announced a number of product price adjustments, including new car prices, battery pack rental prices, and flexible upgrade fees. Officials say the new price will take effect on May 10, and ES8, ES6, EC6, ET7 orders that pay a deposit before that, as well as ET5 orders that pay a reservation fee, will not be affected by car purchase and battery rental (BaaS) prices.
First of all, in the price part of the new car, the starting price of the NIO ES8, ES6 and EC6 series will rise by 10,000 yuan, while the starting price of ET7 and ET5 will not change. After the price increase, the price range of ES8 is 478,000 to 634,000 yuan, the price range of ES6 is 368,000 to 536,000 yuan, and the price range of EC6 is 378,000 to 536,000 yuan.
In the battery rental part, WEILAI said that it will adjust the rental service fee for long-lasting battery packs (100kWh) from 1480 yuan / month to 1680 yuan / month, an increase of 200 yuan, while the standard battery pack (75kWh) rental service fee remains unchanged, still 980 yuan / month. It should be noted that no matter which version of the battery pack, the battery rental service fee for the current car buyers will not change.
In addition, in the battery flexible upgrade service, the long-endurance battery pack is adjusted to 9800 yuan / year according to the annual upgrade price, and the monthly upgrade price remains unchanged, which is still 880 yuan.
