On Friday, April 8, Elon Musk officially announced the delivery of the first Model Y production vehicles mentioned above. He thanked the Tesla team for their hard work, and some new Model Y owners are already sharing their joy with the community online.
Over the weekend, Tesla technician Regan Janssen announced on LinkedIn that she had received the first Model Y with a 4680 battery unit produced at the Texas Gigafactory, which happens to be Tesla's engineering technician.
Janssen didn't dwell too much on her new Tesla Model Y in her LinkedIn post, nor did he say how many Models with 4680 batteries were delivered. However, Tesla delivered the standard endurance version of the Model Y, and Tesla usually delivered the high-performance version first.
As Tesla's Texas Gigafactory ramps up production, more Tesla Models with 4680 battery cells will be delivered across the United States, and it remains to be seen how the Model Y with 4680 batteries will differ from previous models.

Tesla officially announced the 4680 battery cell in September 2021, claiming that the single energy increased by 5 times, the vehicle mileage increased by 16%, and the power output increased by 6 times.
