Green Field Hall opened the possession of the flowers,

Let the public peach and plum fill the world,

The use of "peach and plum" to refer to students has existed as early as the pre-Qin era. During the Spring and Autumn Period, an old minister of the State of Wei named Zi Qian resigned from his official post and went into hiding, opened a school to teach, and accepted apprentices who did not distinguish between rich and poor. Because there is a peach tree and a plum tree in the academy, the virions often teach students to study hard and blossom like these two trees in the future. Over time, people have used "peach and plum" to describe accomplished disciples and students.
According to legend, during the Tang Dynasty, Di Renjie visited Xiang and recommended more than a dozen talents to Wu Zetian, and these people were later reused.
