Montalcino, an ancient and small town located in the heart of Tuscany, has experienced nearly a thousand years of history and was once an ancient fortress where swords and soldiers met. There are two main products in the Montalcino region, Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.
Brunello's prestige dates back to the 19th century, and according to Italian wine law, Brunello is a GRADE of DOCG, Montalcino is a GRADE of DOC, and only Sangiovese grapes grown in Montalcino can be used to make Montalcino and Brunello wines.
Organic wine
This Montalcino is an organic wine, which refers to the wine that has been certified as "Organic GrapeVine". It places special emphasis on the organic nature of the raw materials of winemaking, that is, pure naturalness. The grapes are sourced from organic vineyards or grown organically, without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Organic vineyards use natural substances as fertilizers (such as seaweed, livestock manure and plant mixtures) for 3 consecutive years, and the grapes must be harvested artificially. During the brewing process, special attention is paid to the use, filtration and clarification methods of natural yeast to improve the quality of organic wines. Organic wine does not contain chemical additives, and it is not possible to hold wine in plastic bottles, polyethylene, etc.

Tasting notes
This wine has a seductive light ruby red, fruity, balanced in the mouth, light in body and well structured. It will give you a typical Tuscan taste bud experience. It is more delicious to pair with light oily foods such as lamb chops and duck breast.
The difference between Montalcino and Brunello
Brunello wines must undergo at least four years of maturation in oak barrels and bottles before they can be marketed, while Montalcino must not mature for more than two years before they are listed. After marketing, Brunello's complexity and concentration require additional cellaring and curing periods to achieve optimal drinking conditions. Montalcino, on the other hand, creates opportunities to enjoy food without the need for additional cellaring.
As Brunello's "mother and father", a quality Montalcino allows you to see the charm of each vintage early. It heralded the excellence that followed Brunello, but Montalcino sold for less than half brunello.
Excellent grape varieties
Montalcino is made from 100% pure estrogenos in large grains, and Sangiovese and Nebbiolo are two of the most famous grape varieties in Italy. Sangiovese is the most widely grown variety in Italy, with more than 10% of the total Italian grape area, and the variety is cultivated throughout Italy.
Brunello's Sangiovese is more special, it is different from the general Sangiovese, it is a large grain sangiovese grown in Montalcino, and the wine produced is also different in flavor. It is dominated by dried cherries, balsamic vinegar, red pepper flavors, and as it ages, it will smell of fig, sweet tobacco, coffee and leather.
