In the second half of 2021, the total turnover of the porcelain miscellaneous sector was 10.456 billion, a slight increase of 8.8%.

In the oil painting and contemporary art sector, in the second half of 2021, a total of 8524 pieces were auctioned, and 5623 pieces were sold, with a turnover of 6.421 billion yuan, down 30.14% year-on-year.

Since this sector has been in the explosive growth stage in recent years, its upper auction volume and transaction volume have continued to expand, and in the second half of 2021, the upper auction volume and transaction volume have increased by 30.44% and 24.21% year-on-year, respectively. The turnover of this sector accounted for 21.11% of the total market, down 3 percentage points from the same period last year.

In the price range, the number of transactions of 100 million yuan lots decreased significantly, but the turnover of 100 million yuan increased by 54.02%.

In terms of regional structure, the scale of oil painting and contemporary art in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and the Pearl River Delta region increased significantly, especially in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, with an astonishing increase of 1464.65% year-on-year; the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta regions declined significantly.
