Three episodes of the documentary "Exploring the Tomb of Yunmeng" will be broadcast soon.

The Zhengjiahu Cemetery in Yunmeng County, Hubei Province, was selected as one of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in China in 2021. Since its excavation, it has attracted much social attention. From April 2 to 4, 2022, the Science and Education Channel of the Central Radio and Television Corporation, and from April 6 to 8, 2022, the Comprehensive Channel of the Central Radio and Television Station launched a three-episode documentary "Exploring the Tomb of Yunmeng", which exclusively recorded the archaeological excavation process and witnessed the excavation moments of historical treasures.

Among them, the full text of the late Warring States Mu Yao is about 700 words, which is the earliest "China's first long literary text" seen in the current era. Yunmeng was once a strategic point for the Qin people to unify the south, and these texts provided new materials for exploring the past of Qin and Chu.

Interestingly, more than 50 sets of lacquered fungus cups for drinking alcohol have been unearthed in one tomb, and another tomb has found a chessboard with different shapes, flowing water and throwing chess pieces, and a picture of the life scene of the ancients drinking and enjoying thousands of years ago has gradually become clear.

These paintings are from the end of the Warring States to the Qin Dynasty, the Qin and Han Dynasties, the subject matter is rare, many of them are seen for the first time, which is an important discovery in the history of Chinese art and is of great significance for tracing the formation of Chinese tomb murals.
